Hailing originally from Kyoto, Japan, he teaches Japanese martial arts at Crimson Tsubaki Dojo, a small martial arts studio in Little Osaka. Kiyoshi is a shy, cultured young man with a deep interest in art, beauty, and spirituality. He doesn't talk about himself much, but is warm to strangers, and willing to lend an ear or a hand.
