“If brute force doesn't work, you aren't using enough.” ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon, Styxx Background Takeshi "Tank" Tanaka was never the brightest kid. He struggled with schoolwork until he just gave up on school entirely, he was always getting into fights with other kids, and even as a child there was rage in him that was undeniable. When he was around 16, he first changed into a werewolf on the full moon. What started as an altercation on the streets became a massacre as he ripped his attacker apart and fled outside the city, until he was eventually caught up with and subdued by the glass walkers in the area. He was kin before, so he knew this could happen, but the reality of it was absolutely brutal. The glass walkers covered up his crime, of course, and any witnesses don't understand what they saw. It must have been a bear or something, right? Son to a Japanese mother and a Brazilian father, he grew up speaking English and Japanese. His father spoke Portuguese but his father basically abandoned his mother and him early on in his childhood, so he never got to learn that language. He gave his mother a lot of grief, driving her crazy with his inability to behave himself, and his subsequently joining a gang in the city and being arrested several times for theft and violence. His mother, thankfully, wasn't around when he became an Ahroun and tore that boy apart in the city streets. She had passed on the year before, leaving him with a very modest inheritance, which he still lives on. He joined the Glass Walkers, as he was always a city boy so it just made sense to him. Eventually he became an urban primitive--treating the city as the wild place it is while respecting the danger it represents as he fights for survival in the worst parts of the city. There's really no getting around it: He's not very smart. But he knows how to survive, and he knows very well how to punch someone's lights out. It helps that he doesn't feel pain--congenital insensitivity to pain, he just doesn't feel pain like he's supposed to, and that's an immense advantage in a fight. After joining the Urban Primitives, which was only a few months ago really, he was given a very powerful gift: A weaver spirit was bound into his claws, which became metallic and charged with electricity. The fetish can't be taken from him as it's a part of him, but it does mean his claws are out constantly. If you don't look too closely you might just assume it's some kind of strange glove or something, maybe some kind of jewelry or chrome nail-polish? But looking close, the claws are his actual claws, they're a part of him. He often has his hands in his pockets as a result, as it can be awkward to explain. But the advantage of the claws are undeniable, and they help him do what he does best: Fight. He's proven himself as a Cliath in glorious battle. He may never get any wisdom renown though, but that's not really a concern for him. Ahroun are leaders, but he really only leads by example--he isn't likely to be a pack alpha only because he just doesn't have the brainpower for actual strategy. But point him at your enemies and watch him work. Just don't expect him to understand big words or solve any riddles. His main interest other than fighting is his car, which he even works on in his spare time, working as a delivery driver for a noodle shop to earn money for the parts. He street races, performs crazy stunts with his car, and honestly often makes a mess of the food he's delivering as he gets carried away with the drive. At least it's delivered quickly, right? RP Hooks Nickname His name is Takeshi, but he goes by Tank. He's been called Tank since he was a child, because he's known for just charging forward recklessly--he didn't feel pain as a child, and that lead to him being very cavalier about injuries. Rite Name Loose Wire has two meanings. Ask him and he'll tell you it means he's always live, always dangerous, never shuts off. Ask his packmates and they'll tell you it means the same thing — he's just not plugged into whatever tells the rest of us when to stop. Mixed Heritage He's 6'2" tall, getting his height mainly from his father, who was Brazilian. He doesn't really talk to his father anymore, and his Japanese mother died when he was about 15. Meateater He's one of the lucky ones that became an obligate carnivore after his first change. He needs meat, nothing else gives him nutrition. Claws He has metal claws that he hides with gloves most of the time. They're his actual crinos claws, but they're present in every form because a weaver spirit has been bound to them, making them into a powerful electricity-charged fetish weapon. Mark of the Predator Animals can't stand him, they all hate him and flee. Cars He's a great driver, and he street races. He's also good at racing games. Delivery Driver He works as the delivery driver for Lucky Noodle. Gaia's Special Boy He's trying his best, but he's just...not playing with a full deck. He's not a smart guy, and he's very gullible, and a terrible liar. Everyone has their strengths. Intellectual pursuits and scheming or manipulation...they aren't his strengths.
