Description
Unlike the Spring Carnival, where Nevers frolic through the air leaving behind little contrails of glimmering dust and unbound Unicorns stand tall and proud for spectators, the rath to the Autumn Realm that exists in this area has slowly corrupted the glamour, here, over time. Circus tents are older, faded, and tattered. The wooden buildings and trailers have more cracks and rotting boards. A faint, sinister mist clings to the area, and the large, multicolored signs illuminated by their own glamour cast an eerie glow into the sky.
Here, the smell of cooking food of all varieties one might expect at a faire-- meats, sweets, breads, and plenty of other fantastical creations-- is tempered by the vaguely noxious odor of chemicals. More fae, here, walk around indulging their vices, blowing thick plumes of multicolored smoke through their lips and carrying bottles of all kinds of alchemical brews (most or all of which are sold at the various vendor stalls that one can find, here). Succubi and incubi slink out of the shadows, tempting guests in to darkened bits of the grounds.
A wide trail, obviously marked and well lit, guides visitors around the various attractions, games, and carnival barkers. There are, however, also stalls and tents tucked back off of the trail for those brave enough to venture into the more secluded areas.
Large signs illuminated by their own glamour beckon guests to come and visit /Strange and Dangerous Creatures from the Far Dreaming!/ within the confines of a vaguely tattered shell of a tent that flaps lazily in the breeze. An old, rickety shed boasts /Fortunes and Sainings/, and a Sluagh woman can frequently be seen leaning lazily against the outside of it, blowing puffs of blue-green smoke from her lips.
