Waycrest - Carraig Lonrach (The Dreaming)

Description

Nestled high in the mountains of Carraig Lonrach, the lively steampunk town of Waycrest occupies a large, populous valley that teems with fae life and gorgeous views. Built in-between two massive, glittering peaks, a long road winds up the side of the mountain to reach this place where caravans of fae can often be seen travelling. In smaller numbers, singular fae ride fantastical clockwork machines and flying chimerical beasts through the air, though they mostly keep to following the road.

Occasionally, dragons soar between large airships overhead, throwing roving shadows as they glide from one side of Carriagh Lonrach to the other. Caverns open up higher into the hills, serving as resting places for any number of creatures. From the right spots, you can even see down the mountain to the Spring Carnivan and Autumn Faire below.

This city, set into the side of a mountain, has vents of steam billowing out of pipes above buildings' rooftops. Tall poles topped with conductors line the streets and flicker with radiant, blue energy that streaks from one pole to the next, creating an ever-present glow. Shops and storefronts of all kinds an be found, including pubs and inns. Street performers that make their home here often entertain the townspeople with impressive tricks and magic, and glamour seems to congregate around one particular building which all of the townspeople know is a rath back into The Autumn.
