Some women look like they could star in a hard boiled detective novel. Robin ‘Pidge’ Taylor looks more like she should be starring in a commercial for the newest Disney movie about a princess on Prozac. Less regal wolf, and more shivering chihuahua, Pidge is best left to her own devices and her books. She tends to prefer the company of animals (especially pigeons, hence the name) to people, though she has a tendency to wax loquacious about anything that catches her interest---and those interests are mercurial and all-encompassing to be sure. She is as awkward as she is adorable, and would really prefer to go home to her birds now. Still I don't know what it means (to be human)... • Marion the Librarian… – Before she was a dead person, Pidge (or Robin as she was known then) was a librarian. Really. In 1993 she graduated with a degree in library science. • By Right of Blood… – Pidge is undead, although some days it feels more like she’s a corpse that hasn’t quite figured out that it needs to lay down. Being a vampire sucks, even if it has its perks---after all, she never had this many friends before she died. • Caramel, sabbatical, anarchist’s cookbook… – Formerly (technically) an independent, Pidge threw her lot in with the Anarchists once she was free to do so. She’s kind of convinced that the Camarilla are the bad guys, and the Sabbat are fanatics so…that sort of leaves one option. • I’ve got friends in low places… – Bad stuff seems to happen around Pidge---she just always seems to be in the wrong place at the right time. If something can go wrong, it will, but for the people that know what to look for, she’s got all the marks of some kind of fetter. She is unaware of the thing clinging to her, but it’s there. • I see fire inside the mountain... – Embraced posthumously by at least 30 minutes, Pidge was stained when she came back. As a result, she tends not to react to things…quite right. Every living and undead person looks like a corpse; buildings are plagued with rot and rust, and mold clings to everything. • I’m a creep... – Pidge lives in the sewers. She claims a dried out storm drain as her nominal territory, but it isn’t much and really she doesn’t mind. She spends the majority of her time reading books in her little hidey holes anyway, only coming out to visit her pigeon friends, eat and indulge in her very, very occasional socialization. • I’m a weirdo... – Pidge is something of a bird whisperer. She has a couple (dozen) friends of the avian persuasion from magpies to pigeons to songbirds, all of which she spends more time communicating with that she does other human-type people. As a result, she gets a lot of info from her little friends---after all, it's hard to hide from something that can fly, and who really pays attention to birds in the city? • Broke Disney princess... – Pidge has an air about her that sort of suggests that she's not entirely aware of how down-on-her-luck she is. She approaches life (or un-life as it were) with a sort of manic, forced optimism that seems more desperate than genuine, but it's there nonetheless. Like she's trying to get through the day by the skin of her teeth. • Forensic files alumnus... – Pidge is technically a murder victim, although she got better, clearly. That being said, she was featured on a couple of missing persons documentaries in the early 2000's and was even listed as a possible suspect in the murder of Steven Holt, a decorated Highway Patrolman. A set of skeletal remains found near Steven's was eventually declared to be her remains, but that won't stop the conspiracy theorists.
