'''Cassandra Quinn Clover''' grew up a Navy brat. Her father was a Navy man, and so was his father, and so was his father, ''et cetera'', all the way back to the War of 1812 (or so the family lore claims). Her family relocated often, like modern nomads, and never really put down roots anywhere. When she was sixteen, she ended up at NAB Coronado, and then headed north to Los Angeles for college.
'''Cassandra Quinn Clover''' comes from some tiny town you've never heard of out in West Virginia. She doesn't really talk about what brought her from there to California, other than that she needed "a change of scene." Since moving to L.A. in her mid-twenties, she's embraced big-city, coastal-elite living.

Cassandra dropped out of USC a couple credits short of graduating with a BSc in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention. She had a crisis of confidence. She didn't know what she wanted to do with her life. The plan had been to move on to a post-graduate degree in Sports Medicine. Instead, she applied to join the LAPD.

Cassandra's career as a uniformed officer was only three years long. She got shot in the knee. It still gives her trouble sometimes, but only a little bit. In fact, once she recovered, she was even back on patrol for a while. Then it ended, and suddenly she wasn't a cop anymore. She doesn't like talking about it.

After some time spent figuring out what to do next, Cassandra resurfaced, got an online degree in Criminal Justice from a diploma mill, and parlayed that into a private investigator's license.
She's also embraced a career as a private investigator. Cassandra Clover, P.I. – missing persons a specialty. Not that she gets many big-ticket missing persons cases. Usually it's just photographing husbands cheating on their wives or vice versa. Cassandra certainly doesn't do this job for the glitz and the glamour of it. She's always hanging in there by the skin of her teeth, and just barely at that. She'll take jobs she knows are shitty or shady because she's just not in an economic position to turn down work.

And all of this is before we even get into the ''unconventional'' stuff.

* Clover Investigations is always in need of work. The business cards even have a little four-leaf clover logo that, if we're being honest, looks like cheap garbage. The cards also say "MISSING PERSONS A SPECIALTY."
* Redneck in recovery
* Clover Investigations' unadvertised second specialty is cases involving the occult. "SATANIC RITUAL ABUSE CASES ALSO A SPECIALTY" was deemed inappropriate for the business cards and phone book ads.
* Licensed private investigator
* Cassandra is able to talk the talk with cops and military pretty well, from a few years spent on the LAPD and a lifetime of being a Navy brat.
* Very much at home within the criminal element
* Cassandra also talks the talk pretty well with the low-level criminal element. After all, P.I.s need sources.
* Cassandra's right knee gives her trouble sometimes. She took a gunshot wound there, in the line of duty, back when she was a cop.
* Now, this couldn't possibly be related to the above, but Cassandra is blacklisted from quite a few pharmacies and pain management clinics around Los Angeles.
