Background
Thief, someone once called her. Now June didn't want to be that, but it felt as if the world had taken so much from her that she needed to balance the scales just a tiny bit.
Born in Colombia, she migrated to Florida at an early age and became a resident of Miami. She went to school, she got introduced to dancing, she met boy. Boy was mean, and from there she got the first sense of vertigo and the spiral that would be her life.
A thumb nail of powder once seemed like a harmless choice, and then more spiraling. Dropout. Spiral. Arrests. Spiral. Family turning away. Spiral.
So finally she stole, from people she shouldn't have. And then there was Los Angeles, because there was nothing behind it further west. For the first time she sits alone on her haunches on that daunting cliff of independence.
