Zebastian. The young Norwegian guy's been in Los Angeles for a while now, just hasn't been making much noise - well, not socially that is. Zebastian is a music producer and recording artist operating under the moniker Zt. Zebastian; known for producing up-and-comers in fringe scenes - from hyper-pop to alt-rap, sludge metal to neo-folk, it's all about experimental sound. Even got some film and art-house score credits under his belt, though only real music buffs and the cool kids in the Westside would ever recognise him - and if they did? It'd be by name and reputation. His image? A cultivated mystery.
Well, to the extent that wearing a mask during performances and only giving cryptic interviews to specialist blogs and industry publications makes one mysterious.
- Music Producer & Artist: Zebastian has a knack for collaborating with other musicians who are looking to really whip up something special. A multi-instrumentalist with a brutally haunting aesthetic, he's known to be a perfectionist when it comes to creating visions into reality.
- Westside is the Best Side: It might be hard to get Zebastian out, but when he does? The kid likes to party. When on a roll, Zeb is a wrecking ball of chaos and carousing - what's more difficult is getting him to stop, look and listen to reason. Only so much of the town can be painted red before sunrise, after all.
- Curiosity Killed the Cat, Not Zeb: Oh, there's nothing like a little taste of mystery or strange conspiracies to pique the Malkavian's interest. He can't resist following clues or unpacking some kind of intrigue, be it social or occult. For a guy who hardly never leaves his studio, he's pretty clued up on the occult machinations of the night, and curious as anything to investigate.
Over the last however many years, Zebastian has released a few mix-tapes and albums; his self titled first album Zt. Zebastian, the unreleased:rereleased collection of remixes and covers, and his latest album eyesore that came out in 2020. They are ... challenging to listen to, if one isn't prepared for an onslaught of twisted breakneck beats and hyperactive lyrical labyrinths or huge sonic tempests of gruelling pipe organs, mystic chanting and droning compositions. Still; the reviews were good. Kid's got talent - and issues, apparently.
