He loped from San Diego to Los Angeles, driven by the dreams his godparents gave him.

 Dog of Chaos: Bites-the-Hand has no respect for the human social contract. That can be funny, and it can be terrifying. In his human guise, he is infamous on Nextdoor comment threads.
Spirit Heritage: He was raised from a puppy by his spirit godparents, Grandmother Rat and Uncle Raccoon, after he was lost to the streets. Now, in addition to his excellent rapport with all the spiritual powers of Man's urban demesnes, he communes directly with the animistic essences of urban objects around him. Maybe it's just his vivid imagination, or maybe there's something more to it, but don't be shocked if he has a conversation with a horrific necktie.
