Biography

RP Hooks

• Academics - Dr. Mictlantecuhtli "Mickey" Angel López is Chair of the Spanish Language and Civilizations department at Los Angeles City College. He also offers extra-curricular instruction in the indigenous languages of Mayan and Nahuatl to interested students from the college and community at large.
• Community - Mickey is involved in efforts to provide academic opportunities to both at-risk Latinx youth in Greater Los Angeles, as well as to Angeleno veterans of the armed forces.
• Supernatural - Dr. Lopez is often consulted as an expert on Santa Muerte and the various Catholic and indigenous traditions of the Hispanic Americas for "academic" context on "supernatural/unexplained" news stories.
