Biography

RP Hooks

• Academics - Dr. Mictlantecuhtli "Mickey" Angel López is Chair of the Spanish Language and Civilizations department at Los Angeles City College. He also offers extra-curricular instruction in the indigenous languages of Mayan and Nahuatl to interested students from the college and community at large.
• Community - Mickey is involved in efforts to provide academic opportunities to both at-risk Latinx youth in Greater Los Angeles, as well as to Angeleno veterans of the armed forces.
• Supernatural - As a member of the Arcanum, Dr. Lopez is often consulted as an expert on Santa Muerte and the assorted mystical Catholic and indigenous traditions of the Hispanic Americas for "academic" context on news stories pertaining to the supernatural or unexplained.
