Biography

Born in Covina, CA on December 21, 1988, to Robert and Susan Taylor, Andrew "Drew" Jefferson Taylor's musical journey began in Chicago. Envious of his older brother Benjamin's accomplishments, Andrew pursued piano, and percussion, excelling in both. His passion shifted towards orchestral conducting and composition, and at 14, he earned a full scholarship at Interlochen Arts Academy, later attending the Royal Academy of Music in London. His extensive education included The Juilliard School and the Peabody Conservatory, where he earned a D.M.A. in Orchestral Conducting. Andrew's career boasts conducting roles with prestigious orchestras worldwide, composition of over 20 compositional works, and a successful tenure as the Music Director of the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa. Now, as the Music Director and Conductor of the LA Philharmonic, he continues his journey of musical excellence in the vibrant city of Los Angeles.
