So intimate, this Chopin, that I think his soul Should be resurrected only among friends Some two or three, who will not touch the bloom That is rubbed and questioned in the concert room.
~Portrait of a Lady; T.S. Eliot
Background
Eliott doesn't talk very much about where he came from, beyond that he grew up somewhere on the East Coast, and that he has family of some sort in Los Angeles. His behavior suggests an upper class, sheltered upbringing, although that stands in stark contrast to the way he dresses, which is much more 'street kid'.

Music: Eliott plays several instruments, the most prominent being the piano and the flute. He describes himself as a hobbyist, but his playing shows a classical education, and is on the level of some of the best concert musicians in the world.
13th Hour Club: Eliott is a sometimes pianist at the 13th Hour Club.
Most of what he plays there is jazz, but when the club isn't crowded, he will, on occasion, indulge in Chopin or Rachmaninoff. He's even been known to take requests.
Animal Lover: Eliott has a soft spot for animals, and for their part, they seem also to like him.
Haunted Flutist: Rumors of ghostly flute music audible some nights in the Hollywood Forever cemetery can be traced back to Eliott; he often practices there at night.
Mr. Nobody: Eliott is a master at blending into or melting into a crowd. Any crowd. He's really found a way to make a desperation not to be noticed by anyone ever work for him. People sometimes have to be introduced to him two or three times before they remember meeting him.
Nightlife: He's been known to pop up at a wide variety of clubs and other nightlife spots, and has an eclectic mix of friends in those places.
