Pertaining to Pickling and a Peccadillo

Participants: Gia Sarah (Retired)

Location: Skid Row

Date and Time: August 5th, 2021, early evening

Summary: Gia and Sarah meet in Skid Row. Sarah shows Gia her Rooftop Garden. There’s mention of a peccadillo and the results thereof as well.

Sarah is perched upon a curb near the rooftop gardens. She is is adorned in a white peasant blouse and a pair of jean shorts that welll are sort of big shorts, leaving room for her belly. The girl looks around four or maybe five months pregnant. Dark curls are pulled back from her pretty face with a white ribbon. She has a wicker basket nearby and well appears to be just here, lurking.

August 5th, 2021: Early evening finds the shadows lengthening and while there's no commuters in skid row the noise of traffic worms its way into the neighborhood. A distinctively green haired young woman steps out of the AMB Neighborhood Mart to join the other foot traffic in the area.

Heading toward the gardens anyway, she grins when she sees the pregnant woman. As she gets close enough to not be yelling, she calls out, "Sarah! I've been hoping to see you again."

Sarah lifts her gaze to Gia, giving the green-haired women a smile of greeting that reaches her dark eyes and brings her dimples to briefly bloom. "Oh, hi, greetings." She say softly in her direction. "It is good to see you again and well was good to see you at the meeting yesterday. Our meetings get kind of crazy, which you probably noticed." <English>

Gia nods energetically. "I did, and that's okay," she says. She takes a seat on the curb next to Sarah and says, "Since we've met I've been considering pickling some okra and working on other dishes," and then asks, "Any chance you have any growing in your garden?"

Sarah looks at Gia and ohhs softly. "There is Okra in the garden." She say sin her direction. "We can go up and get some. Although I have to be careful climing up that ladder now." She murmurs softly in her direction. "We have green Okra, Clemson spinless that is basic. But there is Red, pink, orange and white Okra scattered over the rooftops too." She murmurs.

Gia smiles at the news and nods about the ladder. "Yes. One pregnant person up a ladder a week is the limit," she says enigmatically but follows that up with a suggestion: "Do y'think we could set up a lift and have that be safer? As opposed to having someone carry you up there of course."

Sarah hmms softly. "I don't now about a lift and well it will only be for a few months..." She says softly to Gia. She rises to her tiny feet though, reading her full height of five feet. "I mean guess we could get a lift maybe, but it doesn't seem like the place for lifts. I was on that rooftop alot in the past, lots of memories there." She murmurs softly. "So what did you think of the /family/ here? There is a lot of crainess going on, you might have noticed."

"Well, the extended family is... a bit crazy anywhere you cross it, it could be back east also," Gia says as she hops up to her feet as well. "But yeah, most people seem fairly welcoming, to one degree or another," she explains.

Sarah looks to Gia even as she listens to her words, the girl nodding in response. "If you would be willing to climb after me and make sure I don't fall, we could climb up and talk more quietly?" She asks a bit sheepishly of Gia. <English>

"Sounds like a plan but..." Gia hesitates and looks around, "I'd do a better job..." She stops and shakes her head before saying, "I feel that this isn't the time or place unless... No, there's no place private that I could change, really. So yeah, lets go ahead and do it, just be careful."

Sarah ohhs softly, seeming to understand. "You would carry me, if you could change?" She says and smiles as if liking that idea. She then starts to climb up the ladder. Sarah does an okay job and Gia never has to rescue her. She makes it up onto the rooftop!

As the pair climb the ladder Gia explains, "I was more thinking that I'd be able to catch you more easily." Once they reach the rooftop garden she clarifies in the privacy created by the height above the masses: "Carrying would be more Crinos and... well, no, not topside in daylight. I was thinking in Glabro I'd have a better chance of catching you. I'm not very strong compared to some members of the family."

Sarah looks to Gial and ohhs softly. "I am glad that I didn't slip the." She then says softly. "I would hate to send us both tumbling..." She adds a moment later. She then pauses for a moment. "Um..what moon are you? Maybe you told me that, but I forget. YOu don't seem very rage rage warrior like." She says. "You don't get mad if kinfolk look you in the eye and stuff?" she asks.

Answering the questions in opposite order, and with a faint smile, Gia says, "I do not mind normally but... well, be careful doing that with any predator, Sarah," and then glances around the garden. "I'm a half moon," she says to answer the Auspice question only to then say, "Yeah, me too. Though I could have slipped into Glabro to help I'm sure."

"Half moon..." Sarah says and she seems a bit confused. "They are the phildox, the judges?" She asks a moment later. "Um..." She then trails off for a while. "I did some bad things lately and got into trouble with the judges. I was said to have challenged a wolf, by getting in the face and making faces," she murmurs.

Gia nods slowly and says, "Depending on the Garou, the day of the month and other factors that is... a dangerous game to play." After a moment's consideration she asks, "Your being pregnant should have factored into any decision, did it?"

Sarah looks to Gia, nodding to her. "I think it did." She says softly. "I mean...that is partly why it was considered so bad what I did, I think? But they didnt hurt me, so maybe it did factor in. I need to perform an apology rite and not looking forward to it, because..well it is hard because..I don't really agree with the ruling, but one can one do right?" She murmurs softly. "I guess I have to get really sorry for the spirits will know?"

"We should talk about this in more depth," Gia says gravely for a moment but then, with a smile, she says, "However, for now, show me around the garden?"
