Background:
After graduating from high school in the fall of 2009, Bradley enlisted in the United States Air Force, opting to try for the rarefied TACP role. After Basic Training, he underwent another year of intense training before earning his designation and beginning to serve in the Tactical Air Control Party (that is: he deployed with special forces teams and called in airstrikes as needed) role in full. He served for ten years before being honorably discharged in 2019, suffering by then from the first hints of PTSD which would only get paradoxically (or maybe as expected) worse outside the rigid command structure the Air Force provided.
It was shortly after his separation that Bradley was accepted into a then-burgeoning study on the effects of psilocybin in treating PTSD. It was as he was dosing with psilocybin that he Awakened to the reality of the world; and it was his good fortune that one of the counselors helping to run the study was a mage - and became his mentor in the Cult of Ecstasy, as a Joybringer.
It has been several years since his Awakening, and Bradley has found his way to Los Angeles for work - work in his case meaning corporate security of the kind that verges paramilitary organizations.
