Bishop Harrigan grew up without roots. The son of a career Army officer and a civilian signals intelligence contractor, he spent his childhood moving between postings — Germany, Virginia, South Korea, back to Virginia again. He learned early that the most reliable constant in a shifting world was information. Understand the environment, understand the people in it, understand the systems holding everything together. Everything else was just logistics.
That instinct carried him into a strong engineering program and, shortly after graduation, into government work. He spent five years in signals intelligence, developing a reputation as someone with an unusual gift for pulling meaningful patterns out of noise... the kind of analyst who noticed things that weren't supposed to be noticeable. He left the government at twenty-eight under circumstances he describes when asked, as a difference of opinion about what was worth paying attention to. He doesn't elaborate. Most people don't push.
The years between government work and his current life in Los Angeles were productive in ways that don't fit neatly on a resume. Freelance cybersecurity consulting as well as physical penetration testing for firms that valued discretion. A new found love for firearms training, the kind that goes beyond range time into understanding how people move and react under stress. He built a clientele, developed a reputation in specific circles, and spent a significant amount of personal time following threads he'd picked up during his government years. These were often anomalies in public record, incidents that didn't quite add up, the kinds of patterns that most people look at once and dismiss or write off as coincidence.
He arrived in Los Angeles eighteen months ago. He maintains a small consultancy, takes on cybersecurity and physical security contracts for a selective list of clients, and has established himself in the city's tech and private security community without making too much noise about it. He's easy to talk to, quick with a smile, genuinely curious about people, and most would say overly optimistic.
