Medical Fox

Participants: Riko Da-Eun Arsenic

Location: Sun's Bright Kitchen

Date and Time: June 27, 2020

Summary: Fixing up the wounded after the Raid

Da-Eun is in the kitchen, leaning against a counter with her jacket and shirt off. Her bra is still on, but her torso is wrapped in bandages and there are splotches of discolored skin on her arms. She had been on fire and spewed with supernaturally toxic sludge. She winces a bit, waiting for Riko. This is where she was supposed to come right?

Riko had offered to meet up, and as she comes, she does so with a careful look around the corner, some fresh bandages in the bag. There's a little sigh coming from her as she spots Da-Eun already there. "Sorry, I am late!" She excuses herself, offering a little smile as she moves over. "Da-Eun was it, right? Riko. Let's see what we can do for you, should we?"

Da-Eun looks up with a weak smile, waving to Riko when she comes in. "Oh.. it's fine!" She raises her voice and then whinces a bit. And then she nods her head eagerly. "Mmhmm. Da-Eun. Or.. Little Claws." She's certainly one of the smallest werewolves, even in war form, that Riko would have ever seen. "Thank you. Do I need to do anything?"

Da-Eun is the sort to fidget and squirm but when the doctor tells her to sit still she'll sit still, hands folded into her lap. She stares back up at Riko and nods her head. "Mmhmm. Toxic bane or something. It.." She whinces as she thinks back to it. Being lit on fire is not a fun experience. "It hurt, a lot. I'll be still."

Riko nods, reaching over, her hands seeing those of De-Eun. "Well, let's see if the Mother's gift to us might reinvigorate you and cast off the burn, will we?" She closes her eyes a moment, inhaling deeply, taking a few seconds to try to feel for something, then opens them again. "May I touch your wounds?"

Da-Eun allows her arms to hang at her side when she hears that question, watching Riko curiously when she closes her eyes. "Yes, you can touch it." It's, of course, not a singular wound but rather splotches of burned skin here and there though mostly focused on her lower torso. Her eyes go wide for a moment and she asks in a quiet voice, "Will it hurt?"

Riko stands up as she moves over to loosen the bandages and so she can put her fingers onto the burnmarks. "It can I was told. But the skin should be as good as new afterwards." She tries to calm down her patient before actually touching the splotches.

Da-Eun's bandages come away easily enough and there are rather gross burns underneath. She whinces a bit at the touch of Riko's fingers and there is a brief sting to it but then her skin mends good as new. Da-Eun blinks a few times, looking down at her stomach and then touching it gingerly with her hands in case it still hurts. But it doesn't! She's all smiles as she looks back up to Riko. "Thank you! Um.. what was your name again?"

Riko takes only a few moments to brush over the wetting wounds, the new skin growing under the touch, leaving not a trace of them ever having been there. "Riko. It was Riko Takeuchi." She smiles as she offers one of the fresh bandages. "Should we cover it up for others not to see?"

"Hmm? Oh.. no one normal saw the burns. Not really. But maybe we should?" Da-Eun looks towards the fresh bandages and begins to wrap herself just in case. No reason to take a risk. "Thank you again Riko. You're um.. Kitsune, right?" Da-Eun speaks with a Korean accent, rather easily marking her homid heritage. "I knew a couple back home. We got along."

Riko lifts her shoulders a little as she works the bandages around the Korean with a gentle look. "Well, that's how you say Fox in Japanese and as I said in the briefing, yea, I'm the resident Fox. Not that I know much about what you'd consider my people in the homeland." She shrugs a little, making sure to try to make it look as legit as possible. "Corax are neat to give you secondhand knowledge. And some stuff I gathered from those my mom worked with some two decades ago, but only few of those are still here I guess. But otherwise? Call me an Orphan Fox."

"Orphan?" Da-Eun lifts her arms as Riko puts the bandages around her again, waiting until they're set before she reaches over to grab her shirt and slip back into it. "Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude. Did I sound rude?" She does seem worried about how she came off just then. "Well, either way it's nice to meet you."

"Mother fucker, this sucks." A voice is howls out from the main room, as into the back comes one confused Aresenic. He is moving quickly with his eyes narrowed, as he is flicking a lither that refuses to work. Heading right for the stove, as he lights it leaning into it to get his cig to light up, as he takes a long inhale. "SUP!" He is not looking around yet, that long tattered duster of his hanging, in tatters around him more beat up than normal, as he nods at Riko and than he looks at Da-EUN. "Wat the fuck happened to you?"

Riko shakes her head a little at Da-Eun's question, tucking the bandages taunt a little just as Arsenic slips into the Kitchen. "It's ok. I had my dad, but like, he knows nothing. Maybe you can tell me more later, hm?" She smiles as she stands back up to give Arsenic a look hiding a tiny scowl. "Well, she was injured in the line of duty, but she can tell that story better herself. Now be a darling and get her a tea, will you?"

+GAIN> Riko regains 1 Willpower.

"Oh.. I lost my mom too. And was raised by my dad.." Da-Eun frowns a touch as she mentions that but then her eyes move to Arsenic. Riko scowls while Da-Eun just looks confused for a moment. "Hello Compton. I'm.. okay now." She clearly doesn't know quite what to make of Arsenic.

Arsenic walks over to examine it as he shakes his head as he gnaws on the bottom of his lip. "I aint' no tea bitch. But she need heals?" His dirty hand is coming up to touch slowly, as he drops down to examine it now with a look over at Riko. "If she got hurt in line of duty, even a dirty wolf needs help of us all. I mean, I aint' a fan of em. But if she got hurt doing Gaia's work, it's on us all to help her. Also, I make shit tea, ya aint' wanna poison her ass." He looks over Da-Eun. "Fuck family, they are aint' worth shit, find family you want and fuck the dead or hateful ones. It's how I fucking live." His hand is moving along the injured spot, trying to gauge how bad it is.

"You're a little late for that, Arsenic. I already did what I could for her, and those are for the looks." Riko admits, stepping over to get some cups and hot water. "If you can fuck up tea, you also manage to cook spaghetti without water. Learn some cooking, man," she scolds, working on some tea, eying the rat working over the shoulder.

Da-Eun did not, in fact, ask Arsenic to touch her. Her eyes narrow and she lets a low growl escape her throat as she slaps at his hands. "I -love- my family. And -you- shouldn't touch without asking. Why are you so rude all the time?" The question is rather earnest. "When you met me you called me stupid in front of a friend. I am not stupid."

"I was going to heal, cause I can do it." Aresenic stands up with a nod at Riko. "Good work, good heal. I'm impressed, very well done." With that he turns to walk over to the wall to lean against it as he looks at Da-Eun. "Cause, I fucking hate wolves, your a waste of space. You are fucking dicks, you murder for no reason. You give little thought to the world, and well ya'll fucking smell bad." His eyes watching Da-Eun. "Has anyone ever told you about the war of fucking Rage?" He looks over at Riko for a moment, with a grin. "Nah, I good on that better thangs for me to fucking learn." As he looks over at Da-Eun. "But, yeah I was going to heal ya, I see a wounded warrior of Gaia, I heal even if I hate that kind."

"They have a purpose, just like you, dude. I know about the war of Rage. But that was what, hundreds of years ago? Does Da-Eun look to you like she was in that and slaughtering people? I am no expert on Garou physiology, but I don't think that they get that old. And besides, she fought at the side of Elle that night. Kept her back free so she could throw cars." Riko growls a tiny bit, as she starts to pour tea, then balances the cups to the side table. Not that there is much rage in the growl. "You might try yourself at civility a little, because your rage is always boiling up."

Da-Eun keeps her eyes locked on Arsenic, a deep frown set on her lips. She's young and comes across as a bit inexperienced. At the question about the War of Rage she blinks a few times and then looks over to Riko before looking back to Arsenic. She rubs at the back of her neck and then shrugs as she nods her head. "Y.. yes. I was taught about it." She seems a bit uncertain though. Her eyes fix on Riko as she gives her answer and then Da-Eun nods emphatically in agreement.

"No all of us fucking jump up and down and want to please you Garou, some of us last a great deal, and we remeber that fucking shit." As he turns to Riko for a moment with a wicked little chuckle. "If you die at the hands of the Garou, like I have seen so many times before. I'll pour one out to you and giggle. Cause, they aint' to be fucking trusted, for fuck sake." He than exhales the smoke into the air, as he looks at Da-Eun. "SOme of us got hit pretty hard, and we keep that shit alive. Sorry, if it hurts ya fucking feelings. But, the children of Rat, generally if they be fucking smart. Aint' too fucking trusting, the rest of em seem to be just fucking fine with ya. So, take that for what ya want, but I was going to heal ya so it means I aint' hate you as much as the rest. So take ya small fucking victory with me."

Da-Eun slips out of her chair and rises to her feet even as Riko moves to sit across from her. Not that it really helps the height difference much as Da-Eun is a good foot shorter than Arsenic. She snarls, teeth showing with a little growl now as she listens to him go on. "I fought with the Fera. I got lit on fire trying to help them. I was the -only- wolf there trying to do my part." She slips into Korean, muttering a few quick words which are probably obscenities based on her tone. And then back into English, "Fuck -you- if you want to judge me for my ancestors rather than for me. I know -men- like you." The Fury says 'men' like it's an insult. "Loud, angry, bullies. And then you try to guilt me by saying you wanted to help while still being an -asshole- and -touching me- without even asking. It doesn't make it okay. I will not be mistreated by you."

"I like you now. You stood up for yourself, I'm sorry for touching you without your okay." Aresenic looks right at Da-Eun with a wicked smile, as his right hand is offered to her. "Now, let me go buy ya a burrito, and well fucking hell ya finally fucking did it. You let me push ya around ya get pushed around, but you did huh? You stood by us and just you got light the fuck on fire, that is fucking heavy." His eyes locked on to Da-Eun for now he is ignoring Riko, as he grins with a pure joy and something that looks pride. "Friends?"
As he waits for the wolf to respond, he speaks slowly at Riko. "It's diffrent for us Rats, I won't explain why Riko, but we needless to say each of us remebers it. They did horrible things to us, being I'm one with the spirirts. It feels to me cause of my kind, like I fucking lived it. So, to the others it's so fucking long ago, but to some of us it is like fucking yesterday."

"If I didn't have like constant nightmares brought to me by my grandmother, I guess I wouldn't understand you, but in that case I do." Riko gives back to Arsenic with a little nod, her fingers brushing through her hair before she raises her teacup. "So, we can agree not to kill each other? That's fine."

And just like that Da-Eun blinks in confusion, perhaps not expecting the sudden de-escalation. The tension in her shoulders relaxes and the growl goes away, not that the woman had been too terribly threatening with it in the first place. There's a moment of quiet and then she just nods her head. "O.. okay. Friends. A burrito sounds nice.." She murmurs that last part and then slinks back into her seat, looking across to Riko and biting her bottom lip. "Sorry. I didn't mean to get angry there." She'll reach for a teacup, looking a bit sheepish now.

"Nah get fucking angry, feel it all Da-Eun. It's a fucking war, ya did fucking fine." Aresnic chuckle, as he runs outside.

Riko smiles as she nods to Da-Eun. "It's ok. You got your shirt with you? Becasue it's getting a little cool I guess." Raising her teacup, she looks after Arsenic as he slips out. "I guess he isn't half bad, just... driven by the rage. A little unlike you today. Spent it all on the raid?" She shrugs a little, her hand brushing once more through her hair. "What do you do for fun?"

Da-Eun looks back to Riko and says "Oh!" She quickly slips her shirt back on and then will reach over for her jacket as well, completing her wardrobe once again. With the question from Riko about her Rage Da-Eun just nods her head. "Hmm.. oh.. yeah. It was quite the fight..." She'll discuss little arts and crafts, homemade trinkets, and learning languages as some of her favorite hobbies.

About 15 mintues later Arsenic is back with a bag over his shoulder reading the wasted burrito. "Best fucking burritos in the fucking city, they be parked down the street what brought me the fuck in here." He than fishes out two offering them to Riko and Da-Eun with a wicked chuckle. "I like you, doesn't mean I like wolves got it. I'm still be a fucking prick to the others, hell I'll most likely still be a prick to ya. It's my nature, but enjoy fucking food for getting burned and shit." They are packed with Beans, Meat, Chicken, Bacon, Salsa, Queso it's one hell of a burtio, it is pushed to the limit, bulging. "They call dem the Arsenic speical, cause it's what I fucking order."

As Arsenic returns, her cup is a little more drained, apparently having talked some in the time he spent out gettign Food. "Oh, I hope they didn't overdo the salsa."

When Arsenic returns, Da-Eun sets her tea down and takes the burrito that might be bigger than her head and stares at it as if confused as to what to do with it. She looks across to Riko curiously, probably intending to follow her lead on how to approach it.

"Yeah, well I got some shit to handle. See ya around." Aresenic starts to eat his burrito as he slips out the back, quickly with a wave over his shoulder.

Riko gives Arsenic a wave as he slips out quickly after delivering. "Well, that's Mexican finger food. Just grab it in its tissue and start to eat on the open end. Try not to squeeze it too much. New to that kind of stuff? You mentioned you came from the homelands, so I guess... Never been there myself, but what can you tell me about my people you met there?" Then she starts to eat her Burrito as she instructed.

Da-Eun carefully unwraps her burrito, doing as instructed and then leaning in take a nibble out of it. She smiles brightly when she tastes it, taking another quick bite and then making sure to chew and swallow before she speaks again. "Mm.. mysterious? Foxes have a reputation as tricksters. Some say assassins? The ones I knew were nice to me, nice enough. Not silly pranksters but.. more trying to teach lessons? Does that makes sense?" She eyes Riko with something of a smirk as she takes another bite out of her burrito.

Riko nods slowly, taking some bites from her meal as Da-Eun speaks, before clearing her mouth for an answer. "Well, I guess... there are some fairy tales like that. Though most depict them as tricksters and Femme Fatales..." Riko shrugs a little. "But that might all be exaggeration. I hadn't had anyone from my family alive I mean. My mom left me nothing, and I am fairly sure it was my Grandmother that never left Manzanar." Silencing herself with another bite, there's some sadness in her eyes.

Da-Eun looks down as well, being quiet for a moment before she whispers. "My mother disappeared before my change. I have some memories of her, a few. I know she loved me but she wasn't around much. Birthdays. Important days. Until one day.. she wasn't. So I was raised by my dad until I changed and.. well I had to find my way from there." She sighs, her gaze drifting up to meet Riko's. "Were you born here?"

Riko nods, answering the question about where she was born first. "My mom didn't make it through Childbirth though. Some kind of complication. And my dad? Well, he is totally clueles. That much I can tell, because I met someone that knew my mom. Luckily they found me, so I didn't have to start from totally zilch like my mom."

"So.. Orphan Fox." Da-Eun says it softly, head tilted curiously to the side. Her eyes search left and then right, the woman shifting a bit in her seat before she asks, "Have you ever thought about going East? Um.. West? To the homelands? To find other Foxes?"

Riko shrugs a little, then makes a gesture to indicate empty pockets. "I couldn't afford a flight if I wanted, and I bet they would call me an outsider or wannabe or something for how I had to piece it together. Diaspora and all. Maybe I am, maybe I am not."

At the gesture of empty pockets Da-Eun can't help but laugh softly. Her pockets are rather similarly empty. She then covers her lips and ducks her eyes down. "Oh, sorry. I shouldn't laugh." A moment passes and she looks back up to Riko. "I.. understand? I think. I am an outsider here to my own kind in many ways." There's a pause and then she says, "Who was your bird friend?"

Riko smiles. "Nothing to be grouchy about. A flight over there costs like thousands, and I am glad to afford a 1-bedroom appartment and stuff. And I know of no moonbridge that spans over the pacific, let alone is availeable." A moment she ponders, then huckles. "Oh, you mean Lenore? She's one of David's flock. She's nice."

"Lenore? She seemed nice." Da-Eun nods her head emphatically at that, "I know David. He's nice too. I like the birds. They're good.. birds." She laughs softly at that, rubbing at the back of her neck again. "Hmm.. so do you have a place nearby then? I usually stay.. with the other wolves."

Riko shrugs. "I rent a little room in Sawtelle. Like, close to the Little Osaka area, but it's really not much of a space. The building has seen better days. But work as an extra pays for it, and it's my spot. You got a job?" [Newbie Public] Shelly has connected.

"No." Da-Eun shakes her head as she says that, eyes closing for a moment. "Or.. not a job job. I do little things to try to be helpful. Like lastnight. But I'm not sure if that counts as a job? You're.. in movies?" Da-Eun's eyes go wide when she hears that.

Riko shrugs as she leans back. "Well, yea, I am in movies but not like in the foreground. In the background. Filling up the space when people huzzle down the road or such. Just another head in the crowd. Liven up the picture and such. Never a voice role so far."

"Well.. you're pretty. You'll probably get a voice role soon." Da-Eun got about halfway through her burrito and then sat it down, it's a little too much food for her. Instead she picks up the tea and sips from it again, getting close to finishing it. "I've never been to Sawtelle. Could you show me around sometime?"

"Sure I could. It's a somewhat safe area, even if some of the parks there are rather depressing." Riko answers, wrapping her burrito back together likewise. "And thanks for the compliment. But looking for fame is kind of tricky. Exposure and all." She chuckles, shaking her head a slight bit. "Fame might give trouble. But if you look for a job, maybe you could hit up some of your kin? I mean, they might have businesses here. The closest I got is... some relatives on my Dad's side that work in some insurance agency and him doing lots of business trips to sell pumps and stuff. And still thinking about if I take college classes.""

Da-Eun shrugs again at the mention of getting a job. "I'll think about it." Another sip of her tea and then she sets the cup to the side before she slips out of the chair. "Do you want some help cleaning up? You've been really kind to me and I should probably do something in return." She thinks for a moment and then she holds up a finger. "Oh! I could make you something! I'm good at making things."

Riko smiles a little, shaking the head a tad. "It's ok... making things? That's a little wide area. Making what kind of things?" She smiles still. "I mean, there's a difference between a seamstress and a carpenter. Though if you really want to help, maybe you can tell me more about what you know about Kitsune at times?"

Her clothing is hand mended, giving a hint perhaps at what she makes. To make the matter more clear though she fishes into a pocket and pulls out a thin piece of string with an array of coloured beads on it. It's about long enough to be a bracelet. She holds it out, the entire thing clearly asssembled from found items but the glass is carefully polished. "Um.. I can sew. I like to knit. I make little jewelry things like this. Do you want this one?" She's quiet for a moment and then leans in, whiserping, "I also made this." She then holds up her left wrist, showing the bangle dangling from it. It had stayed visible on her wrist last night in each of her forms.

Riko smiles a little, nodding. "That's like a charm, isn't it? But really, don't burden yourself, telling me some stories would be more than enough. Well, about my ancestral lands. I guess you're from... the Joseon area?"

"Mmhmm." Da-Eun puts the bracelet away and then touches the bangle. "A fetish." She whispers before covering it with her right hand as if afraid someone might try to steal it. "And yes! Seoul specifically. Well, are you familiar with the Beast Courts at all?" It seems as fine a place as any to begin.

Riko gives a little handwave. "Vaguely. I mean, I know that's how you call the collective people over there, yes? A fetish? That's neat."

Da-Eun nods her head at both questions and then a wry smile comes to her lips. She rocks back and forth in her seat briefly and then asks, "Hm.. How do I know this isn't all a trick? To make a young wolf think that she can trust the tricksy Fox? Because she's so lost and innocent all alone in the big city?"

Riko laughtes at that accusation, brushing through her hair. "Comeon, if anything, I am the young fox here, because you look like years older than me. Also, isn't Seoul like... as big as LA? And why shouldn't you trust me?" Riko smiled. "Though I did fix you up and tried to cover all our butt back in that place. And got the pictures where to get in... we just... were a little too effective."

Da-Eun tilts her head to the side, still eyeing her with some suspicion though the smile on her face implies that there's no malice. "The Beast Courts.. they exist in Japan, China, and Korea. They want to defend the Emerald Mother. Gaia. It's different Breeds all working together. There's even wolves in the Beast Courts. The Hakken. Though, it's not all peaceful. They politick and squabble too."

Riko nods slowly, lisening as she nurses her last half of the tea. "So, you're one of those Hakken then?" She gathers, raising an eyebrow a little. "But you said you're a Black Fury earlier."

"I'm.. not Hakken." Da-Eun swallows, shoulders tightening up a bit. "There are -some- wolves in the homelands that aren't Hakken. Very few. I wasn't part of the Beast Courts but you can't live there without interacting with them. It's why I finally came here. There came a point when there was nothing left for me there anymore." She watches Riko as she says that. "Surely you must know what it feels like to be alone in the land you were born in because there is no one else like you?"

"I'm.. not Hakken." Da-Eun swallows, shoulders tightening up a bit.

Riko nods slowly, most of the things apparently cheking out, but then there are... some things that don't quite... "I see, so you had talked to some of them somehow? I mean, Kitsune and Hakkan. It'd really help to know more... maybe, if you knew someone... maybe I could try to contact someone there?"

Da-Eun's eyes glint with.. amusement? Humor? Yes. She giggles, covering her mouth with both hands before she straightens up a bit. "Hmm. My dad is still there. I could let you call him I guess. But he's been through -so- much." She's quiet for a moment and then she reaches to touch the bangle on her wrist again. "I've never seen the Umbra here. In the Cafe. Want to take a look with me?"

Riko ponders, then shrugs. "Possibly like the umbra in many places here. There's a mirror in the bathroom, so... what are we waiting for? Just take your time..."

+ROLL/+DICE> Da-Eun:  Gnosis vs. 7 -> 1 success.

"Mmhmm!" Da-Eun slips off of the seat and will wonder off towards the bathroom, eyes cast back towards Riko to make sure that she's coming along. "I'll be careful." She'll slip into the bathroom and then look into the mirror, focusing for a momenton her reflection before she slips past the gauntlet and into the Umbra.

+ROLL/+DICE> Riko:  Gnosis vs. 7 -> 2 successes.
+UMBRA> Da-Eun steps sideways and vanishes!
+UMBRA> Riko steps sideways and vanishes!

Riko does follow along, using the mirror there to step through. It's like a line of shmmering silver running over her body before she pretty much fades out of existance in reality and reappears in the Umbra. Even a little faster than her compannion it seems, because by the time as Da-Eun arrives some 5 minutes after the start, she is already there, seated on the ground and waiting.

Da-Eun gets through, rubbing her eyes and looking around. And.. the sight might surprise. There are shifters with strong spirit heritages but Da-Eun could almost be mistaken for a spirit. A particular type of spiritual heritage is clearly strong with her. There are whiskers, an orange colored coat of fur that's translucent, Da-Eun's skin visible underneath. There's an ephemeral hint of a tail, a fox's tail. Here in the Umbra one could be mistaken for thinking that she might be more fox than wolf.

Riko whistles almost as Da-Eun appears solid finally, her eyebrows rising. "Now, that's something I havn't seen in the Umbra yet. Got a spirit with you or is there something you didn't exactly say earlier?" The eyebrow stays up as she waits.

"Just..me." Da-Eun glances around. This is a raven's perch and someone might be listening. But she likes ravens so she moves to sit with Riko, legs crossing. "Tricksters run strong in my family. Particularly strong." She runs her fingers through the translucent fur, whiskers shifting a bit on her face. "So. Riko." She looks up to the Fox with a questioning gaze, "So, which part of my story didn't add up for you?"

Riko ponders a little, tapping he nose a moment. "The part about your own heritage? It's... a little convoluted in the wrong way." She manages a smile as her hand ends on her lap, the young Kitsune still sitting. "I am not sure what the truth is, but it just doesn't add up."

Da-Eun purses her lips but her eyes and cheeks betray a smile. The girl with her hand in the cookie jar. "Hmm. I -am- from Seoul. And you're right, there's some things that weren't true. Buuuuut, I'm probably not ready to tell the whole truth. Can you promise not to tell anyone about my little white lie?"

Riko doesn't exactly offer an ok with not telling, but a smile. "I can try to tell nobody, but I can't tell what I don't yet know, right? So it's a little hard to promise not to tell about a white lie if I don't know what not to tell. I mean, I know that something is off, yet I have no idea what exactly. But indeed, this is a place where information flows. Maybe we should discuss that on a more secluded place another time, hmm?"

"Mmhmm." Da-Eun notices Riko's reaction and glances away for a moment, a blush on her cheeks when she looks back. "I know it's not the same. I'm not.. a Fox. Obviously. But I still wanted to talk to you. I feel a little connection. And Boba sounds great. How should we get in touch?"

"How about phone? I get you my number, and you call me? There's some coin phones around if you don't have one of your own, or you could mooch a phonecall from David's employees." Riko smiles, the little admission making her eyes twitch in an almost suppressed laughter. Almost, because it is there around her eyes.

Da-Eun definitely blushes now. She feels silly but somehow she's comfortable in the silliness, like being part of a joke is completely natural to her. "Oh! Um, yes. Someone is going to get me a phone. So give me your number and I can call you then." Her ephemeral tail flicks a bit as she says, "Thank you. Most people forget that I don't have money."
