Spreading Word of Sparkling Spore Skin
Location: Kitchen - Sun's Bright Cafe - Los Angeles

Summary: Look at what I found!
Lenore is currently hopping around upon one of the tables and upon that table is a piece of human flesh with some sort of bioluminescent mold upon it.
David got a message on his uPhone, so he flies over to the SBC to see if anyone's there. Seeing ... something... there he lands a good distance from it. Clicking himself. <<Hi! What is that?>>
Lenore clicking to David she responds, <<So I was patrolling over the area, flying like I adore to do. And I saw this gleaming from above Elysian park and flew down to check it out. We both know I adore sparkly and shiny things. It took me a while but I found this body there in the bushes. It had this mold all over it. Like something is about to grow. I drank from both of the eyes and from one I saw, someone who was very hungry and very confused. Then there was a light that they were reaching for but it was too bright and very strong and then the fungus began to creep over the skin of the eyeball that faint bioluminescence in a blinding close-up. When I drank from the other eye the light was comforting, whispering secrets. Bring the light but how can you bring something out from inside, better to let it grow on the skin until it glows bright enough. So I tore off some of the skin with the mold and here we are. I have no idea what it is but it could be something very dangerous.>>
David stares a moment at the piece of flesh, then looks at Lenore. Perched right on back of the chair he usually picks, keeping his distance nonetheless. <<That sounds very, very bad. Like a possession maybe. That's very bad. Have you shown this to anyone else yet?>>
Lenore shakes her head no to David before she looks back to the flesh, <<You are the first I have told. I wanted to know who we should speak to about it.>> A brief pause, <<What... kind of possession are we discussing?>>
David flaps. <<Banes. Fomori sometimes have very bad disfiguring things like molds, growths. It's horrible what happens to those people. It’s easy to imagine fomori preying on someone tired and hungry, not well. Homeless. But it could be something else entirely.>> He lets out a loud croak of warning, and then a couple more. <<This is scary. Tell everyone you meet. Rats, Foxes, Coyotes, Bears, Cats. And we need to look for more. This was up in Elysian Park by Dodger Stadium? Did you look in the Umbra at all?>>
Lenore would be blushing if ravens could blush and looks a bit embarrassed as she responds, <<I didn't. I should have but I didn't. I immediately flew here and texted you on the way. And I will spread the word as I can. Promise. Should I go back and try to take a look at the umbra now? Or should I wait for others to be there in case something is hinky?>>
David look at her. <<I'm glad you did. You did well to do this. This is the meat and potatoes of our job. Let's go back and scout soon. But warn a few people before we do.>>
Lenore offers a few nods of her head in agreement, <<Thank you. And yes, let us go back out and scout. Do you know where we might find that Compton character or Riko?>>
David flaps. <<Riko comes here a lot. Arsenic, or Compton, or whatever he's going by... just listen for someone being loud and throwing trash.>>\
More nods of Lenore's head emit before she suggests, <<Perhaps we should find some of the wolves too. How hard is it to get where they are. Also what should I do with the flesh?>>
David stares at it now, and croaks again. <<Get a plastic container, put it in a freezer, and don't let anyone or anything touch it without gloves on. And sure we can warn some wolves if we get the chance, you think? Go find Liam or Sandy, perhaps>>
Lenore flys over to the area where the kitchen is and begins to carry one of the plastic containers, she carefully lifts the piece of skin with the bioluminescent mold on it and places it within. Then flies back over to grab the lid and artfully drops it on the top of the container before she dive bombs to start closing it then just hops numerous times until it clicks shut. She then flies over to find a sharpie and carefully, but messily writes on it 'DO NOT TOUCH' with her beak. She then realizes she should just shift and be a human for a moment. Which she does, her body shifting and noises of bones cracking heard as she double-checks that it is closed and moves to put it into the freezer. Once it is closed, she shifts back to her bird form <<Sorry, caught up. I should have just done that in the first place but wanting to try and find Liam or Sandy. Do you have their numbers?>>
David watches as she uses a marker. <<That takes practice. I would not put that in the freezer here though. Not with the food. I could take it home. And I have Sandy's. I should get Liam's.>>
Lenore nods a few times, <<Yes. Please take it home with you. I am still hotel hopping. Not all of them have freezers let alone fridges. I get whatever is cheapest that day. Text me Sandy's number?>>
David takes care of the texting. <<Alright, put it... hide it under the table, and I'll get it out of here.>>
Lenore shifts back, all that body warping and bones cracking once more as she moves to get that tupperware out of the freezer and moves to hide it under the table. She takes out her uPhone and begins to type in it and sends off the message. "I am going to run around town, see if I can find any others like us. You do the same. Text me if you find anyone so we don't accidentally talk to the same people."
David flaps when she shifts. <<I'll never get used to seeing that. I guess it looks as awkward when I do it, but I've never done that in front of a mirror. Be safe.>>
Lenore laughs softly before she responds, "This is true. It does look weird and I will be safe. Going to gargle with some disinfectant. You be safe too."
