Summary: Lenore divulging the bad news to those who need to know about it.

Having got word earlier that Lenore of the Corax wanted to drop a dime to Vanguard's Roar, Sandy had sent out a summons to Snake to come join her and Logan. She has some bottles of water set out, as well as some breakfast bars to munch on. It's almost lunch, but she always sneaks in some protein bars here and there to keep her energy levels up. Dressed in a pair of relaxed jeans and a haltertop, she is currently sprawled out on the couch, flipping through channels on the TV, leaning in against Logan's shoulder.

"Price is Right again?" Logan asks from his spot on the couch, looking over towards the open the sliding glass door to the balcony. Better for someone on the wing to stop by that way, he thought. "It's not the same without Bob Barker, in my opinion. Sick days at home were spent watching that guy, with a bowl of soup and some sprite, with enough nyquil to make his jokes funny. White Trash Doctoring at its finest." Dressed in comfortable pants and a T-shirt, feet bare, Logan takes a sip from a cup of coffee before gesturing to the screen. "I think they're showing a rerun of the UCLA game on 203, too." A subtle suggestion but, with Sandy in control of the remote, he just lets her surf the channels.

Snake arrives without much fanfare, ducking in through the doorway quietly. "Hey, folks," he says, closing the door behind him and proffering a four-cup carton with a well-known brand of coffee shop on the cups. "Hope everyone likes mocha, because that's what I felt like getting." He glances over towards the open balcony door and nods, then eyes the two on the couch. "I'd tell you to get a room, but you got a whole damn warehouse, so I figure that's close enough."

Flicking through the channels, Sandy lands on 203 so that he can watch the game. She is a good mate and even she can't watch Price is Right all day. She leans over and gives him a kiss on the cheese, then rises up to her feet to meet Snake. "Yeah, well, we've made sure to enjoy every inch of this warehouse in one way or another. Now we just couch surf." She teases her packmate. "Still waiting on the bird to drop by. I love mocha." She says with a wide grin on her face. "How're you doing? Trip over here went okay?"

Lenore flies over to perch on the window sill and begins to tap upoon the window with her beak. The tapping sounds like S.O.S. in morse code. Tap, tap, tap, scrape of the beak, scrape of the beak, scrape of the beak, tap, tap, tap. She repeats this until someone opens up the window to let her in.

Logan gives Snake a wave from his spot on the couch, lifting his coffee cup with the other hand to basically say 'I'm good' without actually saying it. "So." he finally says after a minute or two. "Who is supposed to be flying in at this time of day, and what information are they supposed to be sharing? And a corollary - is this something that'll make me go insane with forbidden knowledge?"

Snake opens his mouth to answer Logan, and then his attention is drawn to the window. What he was going to say gets turned into a call of, "Balcony, brother!" With the balcony door open, it should be clearly audible to Lenore.

Lenore easily leaps off of the window sill and begins to fly towards the balcony door. She leads in a chair and then shifts into her homid form. "Thank you. Apologies for not being in this form when I arrived but flying is so much faster and this news is way too important to dilly dally." She smooths out her black pants and then stretches her arms above her head as she asks, "Are any of your familiar with Elysian Park?"

Looking over at the fluttering of wings after Snake's call, Logan shifts in his seat to watch. And yes, while he is familiar with Garou shifting, watching a little Raven explode into a GIANT EVIL RAVEN and then down to a goth-looking woman is kind of neat to see. Logan blinks and mutes the game, turning back to watch and listen. "Big park with a couple of recreation centers, right? And that swing? Over by Dodger Stadium. But the way you're asking that means there's probably more to it than that."

Lenore offers a nod as she responds, "Yes. That is the one. I was flying over there last night and saw something shiny. I thought it might have been jewelry or something but much to my dismay I found a body. A body covered in a bioluminescent mold." There is a pause before she continues, "I am sure we all know that Corax have special abilities when drinking from the eyes of the dead yes?"

Snake blinks at Lenore, then offers her a smile. "Sorry, sister," he says. "No-one told me you there was a sister in town, I thought there was just brothers." He steps over to offer Lenore a coffee from the carrier, careful to do so from the side away from the balcony rather than potentially blocking her escape in any way. "Mocha," he says. "Yeah. Go on?"

No, Logan didn't know that, but now he does. "I didn't hear calls for the meat wagon last night. It was fairly quiet, all things considered.”

Lenore offers a smile to Snake as she responds, "No harm, no worries. And thank you." She accepts the offered coffee, reaching over to grab some sugar to put into the cup, seems she wants it even sweeter. "Alright so. I drank from both of his eyes. In one, I saw hunger, like immense hunger. Then true confusion, something about light. Reaching for this light and it grew too bright and too strong. Then this fungus I found upon the body creeping up over the eyeball with a faint bioluminescence that was blinding up-close. From the other eye it was warmth, feeling all the way down to my bones for the first time in years it felt like. More a feeling of wellbeing, not of warmth to be clear. This light was comforting, whispering secrets. 'Bring the light. But how can you bring something out from the inside? Better to let it grow on the skin until it grows bright enough." She sips on her coffee, mming softly as she swallows before she mentions. "I tore off some of the skin and brought it back to David. He is holding onto it in a freezer and has strict rules about all those who want to inspect it, must wear gloves." She rolls her shoulders, "Also... what David and I saw in the umbra there...." She sighs while shaking her head, taking another pull of her coffee for that first set of information to sink in.

Snake's head tilts a little to one side as he retreats, making sure everyone has a mocha before he takes the last one for himself. "Yeah, 'cause that doesn't sound at all disturbing," he says. "You know, one day a cigar will turn out to just be a cigar."

"It...it would make sense, with it being Fungus. I mean, the stuff grows on anything that it can and can process anything edible into more of itself. That it influenced the body...." Logan frowns. "There may be more of these ready to spread it out. I can't imagine how...interesting...a mobile infection that can tell the host what to do by influencing it to move to specific places to propogate can be. And if it's tainted in some way...." He frowns. "Does David know what'll kill it?"

As she listens, Sandy takes a seat once more, folding one leg over the other. "When you were drinking the eyes, do you think you were reading the fungus? Do you think it's sentient? Also, what did you see in the umbra?" She asks curiously as she taps along her phone to take a few bullet points.

Lenore chuckles softly at Snake's words about the cigar, "Yeah. One day." She adjusts in her seat before she says, "So while in the umbra, David and I saw these lights drifting around and they were about the size of a ping pong ball, in the center of each one were these tiny, sand-grain sized gray masses with that same bioluminescence upon it and they were mushroom spores upon closer inspection. Had to make sure none of them touched me. And it was mushroom spores coming off of the body in the umbra. David said this is very bad and we need to make sure we keep everyone away from the area." She looks to Logan as she states, "It is definently tainted. I am unsure of which of the wyrm tainted assholes is doing this but it is a potential possession thing." She looks to Sandy, pondering the question in her mind before she responds, "That is indeed a huge possibility. Especially if it is indeed a possession we are talking about. It could have taken over his brain. And I do think it might be senitent and of the wyrm."

Snake's eyes widen. "That it's on both sides of the Gauntlet..." That's trouble, a lot of trouble, and he doesn't need to say that out loud. "Time to start looking antifungals. Or maybe flamethrowers, I'm sure I can put a couple of those together."

Logan blows out a breath, clicking his tongue faintly. "That's going to be hard, with it right in the middle of the city like that. And there's a Dodger's game coming up like....every three days or so. Just one wandering drunk is enough to wander through and start a chain reaction." He looks to Snake. "I'll grab some high-powered fungicide from the depot when I can. Something for industrial use. Flamethrowers would definitely work, but that kind of broadcasts presence to people who could spread it further. If...." A look to Sandy, then to Snake. "I can't go to the Umbra, but if you could, can you cut it off from that end, weakening it here and have...I don't know...a park cleaning initiative, fertilization, whatever, clean it up on this side?”

"When it rains, it pours around here. Los Angeles is not boring." Sandy says at the rest of the detail, giving a glance to Snake with a nod. "Flamethrowers fix everything, yes. Though we may want to create some fire talens as well to light them up in the Umbra. Should speak with Flynn." She rubs a hand along her face.

Lenore sips on her mocha coffee once more before she nods, "Yes. It sadly is on both sides. If you are going to do a burn and ash on them. I would heavily, and I mean /heavily/, suggest wearing gas masks so you don't accidentally inhale any of the spores. I have no idea what they could potentially do to anyone if ingested either normally or by inhalation. And I would much rather not find out." She lets them discuss the ways of handling it, just sitting quietly and listening as she sips on her mocha. "Do you all have any more questions for me? David asked me to make those on Skid Row aware of it as well. Anyone, in particular, you can point me to over there?"

"You should set up a perimeter. Have people patrolling or something like that, to keep anyone from getting too close." Logan says as an aside to Sandy. "I might be able to arrange a 'practice burn' or a 'lightning strike' to cover what happens on this side of reality, but the other side? That's on y'all."

"Flamethrowers are /for/ the Umbra," says Snake drily to Sandy, and then there's a nod for Lenore. "No kidding," he agrees. "I'll rustle up some respirators too, but," he looks to Logan and Sandy, "All this might cost a bit. Not much, but more than I can cover this week. I don't get paid for last week's gig 'til three weeks' time, and my kid's got ballet class."

Lenore continues to sip on her Mocha as they discuss, just quietly sitting for now. She wants to finish her coffee before she leaves after all.

"I got something that'll work, mask wise. Might not fit a Crinos, but the smaller forms, definitely. I'll even set up a decon if you can't get it out of your fur going to the Umbra." Logan says. Yay the advantage of being a trained EMT that's dealt with disease-causing stuff!

"Get us the masks and we can sort out the fit," says Snake to Logan approvingly. "Good man." There's a nod for Sandy, then, and a look to Lenore. "Thanks, sister, for bringing the news."

Lenore finishes off her coffee and puts it into the proper trash can as she responds, "Not a problem." She takes out some business cards about her photography business and passes them out, "If you have any other questions, please do give me a call. My phone works everywhere. Literally." A smile is given as she begins to stretch once more, one must be limber to fly after all.

Taking the card, Logan turns it over, holds it up to the light, and makes a show of studying it. "Everywhere, huh? Who's your provider? I could use a go-anywhere always-connected cell phone. Probably a fetish or something, huh?" Logan grins and tucks it into the wallet on the table in front of him. "Thanks for the advice. I'll keep my ears open for anything on the emergency channels regarding fungus, infections, or anything like that."

Taking the card, Sandy puts her contact into her phone, then slips it into her pocket. "Thank you, Lenore. It's much appreciated. Snake, let me know what you see later after doing a recon. Maybe take a theurge with you like Clint. I know he needs to stretch his legs some. He's been working with Flynn lately."

Snake takes the card and tucks it into a pocket with a nod. "Good to meet you, sister," he says to Lenore before looking to Sandy. "Right." There's a thumbs-up for Logan, and then Snake's looking to the raven again. "Tell David that Smoke-on-the-Water says hi, wouldja?"

Lenore grins as she pulls at her Uphone and wiggles it, "yes, it's a fetish and even works in the umbra." A pause, "Remember, I am just a call away. Now I need to find some of the wolves that linger out at Skid Row, make sure they help keep the homeless population away from the area." She then turns back into her bird form and flies out through the balcony door she came in.
