---<Lydon>---------------
It's early in the evening, a low blanket of fog clouding throughout the city and creating a dreary ambiance which resonates throughout LA and penetrates into the antique halls of the Chantry. Particularly, within the hidden garden; The outdoor space seems to be invaded with a species of crickets lately, which echoes their chirping late into the evening, pervading the foggy space with their singing. Yet, despite this, a new sounds can be found within the Chantry Garden. One of the bushes rustles, jostled by some low growls from some unseen entity.
---<Avery>---------------
Those who know Avery best, know that the High Apprentice is very rarely roaming the halls of the Chantry early in the evening. Tonight, however, appears to be one of those very rare exceptions as she wanders out into the garden, dressed in her Apprentice robes with her hair pulled back into a lazy low ponytail. The crunch of gravel beneath her boots causes her nose to wrinkle and she makes an effort to move off into a more grassier area. She doesn't get too far, when the rustling of bushes is heard. "Please tell me there isn't another Gangrel lurking out here," she murmurs, squinting a bit in the direction of the bushes.
---<Violet>---------------
Another night of studies. Another moment of respite in the garden. Violet appears to be getting an early start to this, however, only touching her studies for a moment as she decides to spend some time in the garden early this evening. Violet appears in her robe, with her hair held in a low ponytail and her glasses on her face. She doesn't look so... distraught as she did a few nights before. Tonight she's more... at peace. Her hands are empty, idling out at her sides as she pauses upon entry once she hears the rustling in the bushes. There's a pause, and she turns her head to Avery in wonder if that's a serious question, or something said in jest. "I'm afraid I don't know..." She doesn't know how else to answer that.
---<Lydon>---------------
The rustling and growling continues menacingly, a cricket hopping out from the bush. Surely, not the culprit of the terrifying sounds yet they stop almost immediately after the small creature emerges from the foliage. "MINE!" Squawks out a familiar, shrill voice as Michael launches out from the bush, pouncing the grasshopper with two clawed hands shredding down into the thing. Guts and gore spray out viciously, covering his face as he chomps down sharply into the little creature and then looks up towards the two Tremere with a growl. "Don't you THINK about it! Mine! Mine! Mine!" He growls and darts back into the bush. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
Avery's head turns at the sound of Violet's voice, brow arching in mild surprise at the sight of the other Apprentice as if not even realizing she was there. The shrill little voice that follows has her head snapping right back to look at the bush, eyes narrowing at seeing the little Homunculus successfully pounce on his prey and tear it open, watching still as he then turns it into a meal. "Have all you want," she says with a bit of digust. "I don't feed on bugs. Just don't leave any evidence or Apprentice Dunbar might very well skewer and roast you."
---<Violet>---------------
Violet actually manages a smile when she sees the little guy have at the cricket, shaking her head slowly. "Yes, yes you don't want that." She adds on to Apprentice Thornton's words. She takes a few paces forward, joining Avery at her side and looking over at her. "Hope your evening has been finding you well so far." A pause. "Thanks... for... a few nights ago." She gestures to a bench. "Let's sit?" She suggests.
---<Lydon>---------------
"No, no, no, no! NO skewer! No!" Michael squawks out as he his head pokes out from a new angle in the bush, a grasshopper dangling from his maw as he chews at the squirming, still living insect. Living at least, for a second as the Homunuculus angrily gnaws on the creatures, gore covering his chin. "Fight! Kill! Just you watch! I'll learn to kill for the boss! To slay! Next, we fight mice! Magister Vogel will have the best mice killing Michael ever!" He boasts proudly, stepping out of the bush with another cricket in one of his front clawed hands as he stands up. Rather than looking at the girls, he looks around, searching for more crickets. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
"Well, so far... it finds me awake," Avery replies to Violet after a lengthy moment of consideration. She reaches up to gently rub one temple before looking at the other Apprentice, eyes following the gesture towards the bench. "If you'd like. Is there still something on your mind, Apprentice Grenier?" she then asks, starting towards the bench but looking back over her shoulder as Michael's voice is heard once again. "Mice? Really? I suppose the Magister will be quite proud, so long as you don't start leaving the dead bodies on his pillow." she pauses. "Although, there is a possibility he /might/ like that. Hmm. I should hope not though."
---<Violet>---------------
Violet hums softly at the words of the little Homunculus. "Yes. Yes, pest removal would be quite welcome. Kill the mice, yes yes." She encourages him, before turning her head towards Avery and smiling a bit. "Yes, it's quite early." She halts and casts her eyes downward in thought. "I--no..." She manages when she raises her head. "Not. Really. But... but thank you for a few nights ago." Now, she actually laughs, "That would be... quite the prank. I don't know how he'd take to that, though." Leaving mice on his pillow? No bueno! She slowly sits down and rests her hands in her lap. "So there's court in a few nights..."
---<Lydon>---------------
Growling, Michael chomps down and then... Plew! Out goes the little cricket, spitting the thing out in a gross heap on the ground before stuffing the next hopper into it's maw. Apparently, not actually eating the insects but rather chewing on them as a means of killing them. More growling and then his eyes snap and lock onto something near the bench and he hunches down low, chomping onto the current grasshopper and spitting it out as well as he watches his target in predatory fashion. "Pillow! Fuck yes! Perfect! I'm going to leave proof of my progress, my VICTORY! He'll HAVE to see it! Thanks!" He squawks out as he wiggles down into place, stalking forward. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
Avery nods slowly, settling herself on the bench just before Violet. "Yes. Well. You're welcome," she begins, channeling the spirit of the German Magister as her response sounds eerily similar to how he's prone to respond at times. She gives the younger Apprentice a faint smile, opening her mouth to continue when Michael's enthusiastic response to leaving a dead mouse on Lydon's pillow draws a groan. "Just... leave me out of it," she mutters, shaking her head. There's a momentary pause and then she continues to Violet, "But don't try to give away such a personal item again. Especially one that holds such sentimental value to you. A piece of jewelry is one things, but the music box. That's best kept with you. And, yes, there is court soon. What of it?"
---<Lydon>---------------
Hunching low, Michael screams out as he launches himself forward, cackling madly as he laughs brightly towards the cricket unseen at Violet's feet. "MIIINNEE!" He cackles wickled, using his wings to support his traversal as he flutters and claws at the cricket, attempting to tear into it though missing the mark this go around as the small insect leaps, landing on Violet's knee. This doesn't stop Michael however, who launches again, clawing his way up the Apprentice's leg and chomping down into the insect. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
"You're a mad little creature," Avery laughs out softly as she watches Michael continue to practice his cricket hunting skills, her eyes lighting up with great amusement as the insect ultimately meets its demise on Violet's leg. "Did your... boss... send you out here for a reason, Michael?" she ventures to ask quickly, glancing between the other Apprentice and the Homunculus.
---<Violet>---------------
Violet manages a slow nod of her head and responds to Avery, "Yes. I... see. I apologize for my folly." A casual shrug of her shoulders. "Nothing I just... wonder how it is going to turn out. I wonder what is going to happen after all that has... occurred." She glances down at her knee, then at Michael, and doesn't move. She doesn't know how to react when Michael works his way up to her knee and starts to chew on the cricket on her leg. She lifts a hand up to start petting Michael atop his head. "Drat... I guess I'll have to clean this once more." There's cricket guts on her knee now. "Oh well." She was probably going to clean it soon anyway. "Yes, what brings you here tonight?" She asks Michael after Avery's question to the little guy.
---<Lydon>---------------
"No!" Michael groans when Violet lifts her hand towards the Homunculus, terror suddenly filling the small creature as it retreats from the impending assault and then... Halts, spitting the cricket out of it's mouth to the side, so only some of the guts spray against her robes. Then he cackles madly at Avery, taking her words as praise and deciding to claw his way up Violet's leg when he sees the attempt to pet, instead of assult, finding a place to settle down in her lap. "Nah, he's got fuck all going on and basically said fuck off!" He says, stretching out his wings as he curls into Violet's lap. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
"Mmm... yes, he's been exceedingly busy of late," Avery says softly with a small nod, reaching up with both hands to tuck some stray tendrils behind either ear. "Perhaps you should scour the garden and pick him out some flowers to help put him in a better mood? You can tell him I put you up to it." she smiles genuinely at the little creature, watching as he settles down in Violet's lap. That same smile is then turned on Violet as she nods once again. "We'll find out soon enough, won't we?" the smile fades then as her lips purse thoughtfully. "So what are your thoughts on Apprentice Everhart?"
---<Violet>---------------
Violet's eyes widen briefly, not expecting to hear his exclamation of No! She draws her hand back for a moment, but then reaches her hand out again when she sees him come back up her leg. Violet starts to smile now, genuinely pleased to see Michael start to settle into her lap. "I suppose so..." She says softly while her eyes are still focused on Michael. She responds. "He seems nice enough. Only got to meet him that night a few nights ago. I hope to speak with him more. He's..." She pauses, "Well he's got a good sire. He's going to learn so much and that's wonderful."
---<Lydon>---------------
Those wings settle back down around Michael, using his own sunburnt flesh to wrap around himself as though he were blanketing himself. The hand that touches at his ashy, skin is met with a low, delighted purr, the Homunculus curling and nuzzling into Violet's lap contently. "Flowers! Ha! Yes, yes... Wrap the mice in flowers, roses with thorns to show the boss." He starts muttering to himself, expressing cruel intention in quiet murmurs. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
"That's not what I meant!" Avery laughs out as she catches Michael's murmuring. "Are you trying to get me in trouble?" she eyes the Homunculus, watching him curl up contently in Violet's lap. After a soft 'hmm', she looks back to Violet. "He does, yes... have a good sire. And he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. I look forward to seeing just what it is he'll accomplish. It should be very... interesting... to see."
---<Violet>---------------
Violet is still genuinely amused and happy to see the little guy resting on her lap. She continues to pet at his head and occasionally her fingertips pass over his wings. She lets out a little laugh at Avery's question to him. "Seems so..." There's a gentle nod of her head as her eyes turn to Avery. "Yeah, I... I feel the same way. He should be a good fit to us." She glances back down at Michael, and just sits in silence while more crickets chirp in the distance. More crickets for him to hunt... but later, she hopes!
---<Lydon>---------------
There is an annoyed scuff from Michael, the little creature grumbling at Avery's response. "No!" He squawks out. "He'll love it. LOVE IT!" He grumbles in his shrill voice, and then his ear starts to twitch in tune with the chirping of more crickets, one bug eye twisting to scan out at the garden while the other rolls up in Avery's direction. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
"He's young.. like you, Apprentice Grenier. Perhaps the two of you will find plenty of common ground in that regard." Avery looks back to Michael then with an amused smile, going so far as to stick her tongue out him playfully. "If you say so, but I don't want to hear you complaining then if he /doesn't/ like it. If you're intent on doing so, perhaps use some rose petals to lead up to it? Like a trail to maybe... soften... the scene a bit?"
---<Violet>---------------
Violet ahhs, realizing that, and nodding her head. "True. True yes, we have something in common there, and I can show him the ropes so to speak." She listens to Avery and Michael talk while continuing to pet the latter and remarks, "It sounds romantic... almost." The rose being a symbol of romance and all. "He... He might appreciate that, yes."
---<Lydon>---------------
Both eyes snap sharply onto Avery as she sticks her tongue out at him and his lips curl into a delighted smile before he cackles wildly. "Ahahahhahha!" He offers loudly, in a shriek of amusement. "Yes, yes! Bind the corpse in thorny rose, tie it by the paws and neck! Show the boss I can do it, and lead the scene with petals and dead grasshoppers! Yes! Yes! All Avery's idea... All hers.. No, no... Mine..." He cackles wickedly, the little deceiver begins to cackle more low and menacing. "All mine, unless he DOESN'T like it... Then it's hers... Yes..." He starts in a mad muttering of vile planning. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
"A trail of rose petals and dead grasshoppers. Oh, yes, that certainly sounds very... romantic." Avery rolls her eyes, shaking her head at the Homunculus' plan. "I... you're very much like your boss," she decides on with a nod, shifting her gaze back to Violet and watching her quietly for a moment. "Perhaps, yes. At least as far as assisting him in getting used to our Chantry. I think you'll soon see that he's fairly advanced in his studies. Someone for us all to potentially learn from."
---<Violet>---------------
Violet now has a mischevous grin about her as Avery rolls her eyes. She decides now to take the tip of her forefinger and hovers it over Michaels nose. She then gently moves it forward to try and boop him on the nose. "Boop the snoot!" She exclaims and then giggles, before turning her gaze to Avery, "Ahh. That's... that's good to know! I'll... I'll have to pick his brain sometime, see what I can learn from him."
---<Lydon>---------------
Michael grins wickedly as one of his eye rolls to consider Avery with a light, wicked grinm cackling low and madly for her at his plan and the other rolls up to Violet. Until her nose hovers in front of his nose and both eyes roll to consider her for a moment... Then, the boop and he startles, cawing out as he snaps sharply towards her finger, then blinks confusedly. "What the fuck was that!" <English>
---<Avery>---------------
Avery's gaze follows Violet's finger as it moves to hover over Michael's nose, then goes in for the 'boop', the Homunculus' reaction drawing a full-out laugh from the High Apprentice. Shaking her head, she waves a hand slightly, mainly motioning at Violet as though to say 'She can explain it'."
---<Violet>---------------
Violet giggles some more, especially after seeing his reaction but draws her finger away. "Sorry." She apologizes, and then does explain. "It's just a little show of appreciation. You give someone a little boop on the nose with your finger if you like them!" She moves to try and do it again, waiting to see if he'll allow it before she actually does it again. "Boop the snoot. The snoot goes boop!"
---<Lydon>---------------
There is a blink, ashy flesh curling over those large, black bulbous eyes of his as he considers Violet, Michael watching the finger with a low snarl before allowing the the boop and then... Shu! A spray of something gross and sticky launches out, coating more of Violet's robes as he cackles wickedly. Without warning, he begins to quickly claw his way up Violet's torso, absent of where his clawed hands grasp as he makes his way up her chest. "Boop the snoot!" He squawks out, one claw swiping at her nose as he clings to her chest. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
Avery blinks slowly once, twice, and then a third time as she stares at the sticky goo that now coats Violet's robes. Wrinkling her nose she starts, "Did you just...?" but the question trails off as she watches the Homunculus climb up the Apprentice's torso and mimic the 'boop' with a swipe of a claw at her nose. "Oh, Apprentice Grenier... what did you just teach him?"
---<Violet>---------------
Violet pause, staring at that... sticky substance after it sprays onto her robe. She made the lil' guy sneeze by accident. She laughs faintly, directing at Avery. "Looks like I'll have to go clean my robe real soon." She's known for always keeping it clean and tidy, but now there's cricket guts and Homunculus snot all over it. She blinks, "I--" watching him climb up to her chest and then give her nose a little boop with his claw. "I... think he likes me, then." She laughs some more, "I guess I... taught him how to show his appreciation. He's probably going to boop his master a lot, then." She then looks to Avery once more. "... He's probably going to boop you too!"
---<Lydon>---------------
Cackling madly, happily, the creature launches off of Violet's chest, and flutters over to Avery's, clinging on desperately to what he previously dubbed a 'fat rack', and swipes the claw towards her nose too. "Boop the snoot!" He cackles wildly, and then pushes to launch himself off of her chest. <English>
---<Avery>---------------
"You think so?" Avery asks with a half-laugh, the question coming just as the little Homunculus decides to launch off of Violet and move over to her, the clinging to her chest drawing yet another laugh before the claw swipes at her nose. "So... cute," she murmurs. "Magister Vogel will certainly appreciate all the... booping, I'm sure."
---<Violet>---------------
Violet laughs heartily now, something... unheard of to the ears of others until Michael decides to jump over to boop Avery's... snoot. "Heh, it really is cute. He's cute." She looks down at herself, then up to Avery and comments. "I should probably leave you alone with him now and go... clean myself up and start the rest of my evening. Let me know if you need anything or some such, all right?" A gentle smile about her. Then, she decides to reach over with her finger and boop at Avery's nose. "Boop." A faint laugh. "Heh. Take care."
---<Lydon>---------------
Who know how difficult it might be to clean out the gross goo left by Michael, the sneeze not quiet providing the expected material but rather some vile form of cricket guts as he doesn't appear to digest anything he ate. The claw marks however, are a different matter entirely and he dives into a bush, cackling madly. "MINE!" He calls out, as though to remind Avery and Violet of his claims. <English>
