The NPCs of Andalucia

Here you can find additional details on the NPC bartenders, waiters, dance instructors and customers that bring to life within Los Angeles a little slice of the southern Spanish pub culture.

Management

Bartenders

Mike

Mike Wright was one of the first employees and has been with the restaurant since before it opened in August, 2021. The senior in civil engineering at UCLA is a tall, ruggedly good looking young man with enough charisma that other employees often look to his lead. He's excels at making people feel welcome, whether that means providing a friendly smile that helps people forget the troubles of their day when they step inside, or giving a sympathetic ear to someone sitting at the bar whose troubles have a stronger hold on them.

He's known to acquire the numbers of coeds on occasion. Mike should be portrayed as an all around good guy who cares about others and is protective, both of the customers and especially of the other staff that have come to be a home away from home for him.

Eric

Eric Park is a sophomore at UCLA who is still struggling to narrow down his major. In his quest to come to a decision, he might engage someone in conversation about what they do and whether they like it. He has become a talented mixologist behind the bar, and sometimes experiments with creating his own drinks which he'll offer to interested customers to give feedback on. So far he hasn't worked out any thing that has become a staple on the menu, though he's hoping to make his stamp on the restaurant with one before he graduates.

Eric is on his own and struggles financially to pay for school, and finds the higher pay and the health benefits at the restaurant to be a boon. Jennifer and the kitchen staff always make sure he has a to go box of food to take home with him at the end of a shift.

Wait Staff

Dominique

A California surfer girl who grew up in Santa Monica, Dominique Scott is one of the few staff who doesn't attend UCLA. The 21 year old has so far been content to spend her days surfing, funded by her job at Andalucia. She lives with three other girls not too far from the beach where they spend as much of their free time on surf boards as possible. They enjoy drinking and smoking weed, though she usually only partakes in moderation.

Dominique is friendly and down to earth. She's skilled at gently defusing the run of college-age customers who hit on her, though has been known to accept a date should someone catch her eye. She has a love for the menu at Andalucia and isn't shy about making recommendations when asked. She has only dipped her toe in the waters of the dance styles upstairs at the club, but on occasion gets talked up there after work by customers or others on staff.

Dance Instructors

Jorge the Latin God

On Jorge's first day at Andalucia, Jennifer had mentioned to other staff she was auditioning a new dance instructor. One of the waitresses, who had seen the young man's rugged good looks and smoldering eyes when he'd passed on his way upstairs, had clarified, "You mean the Latin God"? And so it was that Jorge the Latin God was born, the other staff at the club almost always referring to him by the entirety of his nickname.

Feel free to portray Jorge humorously as being an idealized version of the Latino stereotype, with accent to quicken the heart and a young man who you'd expect his shirt to hang open and hair to stir even in a lack of breeze like the cover of a romance novel, a flower always available to be held between his teeth at the appropriate moment of a dance before being given to a lady, and any camera covering him to take on that soft, dreamy aesthetic. Jorge is a Performing Arts major at UCLA, and one of the best dance instructors at the club.
