Bartok
Very little is known about the sort of person Robbie Bartok was before he was embraced sometime in late 2004. If he even remembers what life was like before being embraced by a recent Gargoyle escapee from the chantry, he doesn't talk much about it. That said, he doesn't talk much about anything. For being one of Los Angeles's most famous, or infamous, Kindred he has maintained a presence that is as enigmatic as it is stoic.
What little is known is that, pre-embrace, he was from around Burbank. When he does speak, which he doesn't often do, the accent is just apparent. For the past seventeen years Robbie has served the Baron Isaac Abrams as an Enforcer. For the majority of his unlife, Robbie has been embroiled in violence. The Gargoyle weathered the Sabbat Crusade, an event that only one in five Kindred in Hollywood managed to survive.
Robbie's sire was believed to have been killed in the Sabbat Crusade, though conflicting rumors say that the senior Gargoyle may have been Ashed in a botched attempt by House Tremere to capture the monstrous Kindred and return it to the Chantry. Maximilian Strauss has always maintained a particularly hardline stance on Gargoyles. Other rumors blame the Gui Ren of Koreatown as the true culprits, or even some devious betrayal on part of Baron Abrams himself. Whatever the real truth of what occurred, perhaps only Baron Isaac Abrams himself knows the truth of what happened on that stormy night in Hollywood.
Having no Sire to teach Robbie the ways of the night three other Kindred became integral for his education in unlife: Peter Crawley, Baron Isaac Abrams, and, Isaac's former Enforcer, a Ventrue by the name of Arnie Acosta. The Primogen of Clan Nosferatu is known to have always treated Robbie no differently than a member of the Hidden Clan, the similarities between Gargoyles and their parent bloodline are often the most visibly obvious. To Isaac, Robbie was always treated like a "member of the family" though, to the outside looking in, perhaps more like the family dog than a son or childe. Finally, Robbie was for many years the working partner of Arnie Acosta until Arnie's destruction sometime in 2017. It's quite possible that Robbie learned much more from Arnie than anyone expected him to.
At his very core Robbie is best described as a "Blue Collar Kindred" with a demeanor and professional attitude not too unlike the mortal security crews working to secure Hollywood's assets. He shares about the same expertise one would expect from those security crews, as well.
Robbie was known to be unwavering loyal to Baron Abrams, at times the Old Lion of Hollywood's one true loyalist, right up until Hollywood's fall to the highly aggressive new Camarilla leadership under Prince Lightbourne and Bastian Fox in mid 2021. Robbie has since become even more scarce, disappearing into what meager Anarch territories remain.
There have been a few rumors of Gargoyle sightings in conflicts between the Sabbat and South LA Anarch Contingencies since the fall of Hollywood. Though who can say if this was Robbie or just some other Gargoyle, if there was one at all.
Mundane:
- Skateboarding: Enjoys a little shredding, when he can spare the time.
- Hollywood Nightlife: Robbie used to be found in Hollywood... when he wanted to be found... maybe he still can?
- Weaponry: He's of a collector of Firearms. Somewhat of a connoisseur. One of those types. He doesn't really need them to hurt people, but who wouldn't say no to an IWI Tavor TAR-21?
Supernatural:
- Hollywood Enforcer: Former. Robbie took over as Enforcer for Baron Isaac Abrams of Hollywood when the previous Enforcer, Arnie Acosta, met his Final Death. The position itself was similar to that of a combination of Sweeper and Reeve, but Baron Abrams never did like the Freestater "branding". By all accounts Robbie seemed to enjoy his job, even when he was obligated to work with some of Hollywood's most infamously uppity "Kindred Kreatives". Rumor has it that Robbie has turned a wing towards a more mercenary (un)lifestyle in recent nights, though it's a mystery how one might even contact him for this sort of work.
- Kindred: Will roleplay with other vampires as appropriate. Robbie isn't really interested in interacting with mortals or "mortals".
- Anarch Movement: Robbie has always been a de-facto member of the Anarch Movement by circumstance of his allegiance to Baron Isaac Abrams, but only since the fall of Hollywood has Robbie come to wonder what exactly that really means.
