Description

Grotta delle Fate is an absolutely massive fairy cavern deep in the heart of a mountain known as Four Corners. It's in the exact middle of this cavern that four main thoroughfares meet, creating a bustling hub of transportation and commerce. Each of the thoroughfares winds through a series of vast pools of impossibly blue water whose darkening depths twinkle with mysterious flecks of bioluminescent creatures. Mushrooms, some as small as thimbles and others large enough to make a house inside grow all around, their mysterious spores creating their own glowing motes.

Though the sky is impossible to see from anywhere in the Grotta, one is given the impression of almost perpetual night by the beautiful, multicolor twinkling motes of glamour that cling to the cavern's ceiling and glistening crystal stalactites, providing a constant, ambient glow of something like bright moonlight. Large rock columns covered in lush green vegetation that thrives on the dim lighting here have been hollowed out and used as high-rise faerie homes for Nevers and pixies in various places, many of whom tend to the flowers of the vines that crawl up their pillars.

As one might expect, most of the Grotta's activity centers right around the middle at the intersection where the intersection of the thoroughfares brings the most traffic. Fae of all kinds bustle between little shops, pubs, inns, and other buildings. Farther up the road to the east, the road winds through a Grand Bazaar where even more vendors peddle their treasures.
