Heather was born in Los Angeles, a somewhat nerdy kid with a great mind for computers. She's embarrassingly naive about the world of darkness. Her family wasn't important, or rich, or special in anyway. She went to a relatively normal school, and never really fell into anything that would have exposed her to the supernatural. That is until the headaches started as a teenager. She developed psychic powers, and eventually this was noticed.
