Ingrid

You don't know Ingrid, but you know her father, Vandyke Raas.

Van is an eccentric Dutch tech-god of Silicon Valley. Entrepreneur, crypto-baron, and enigmatic, lady-slaying cult of personality, his fingers are in pies as disparate as connectome emulation, quantum entanglement communications, and app-based factory-to-doorstep goods delivery.

The Raas family made their money through the construction of the Afsluitdijk in the Zuiderzee Works, and outsourcing their takeaway knowledge of hydraulic engineering to developing countries.

The practical success of these outsourced projects is subject to much academic and journalistic incredulity, leaving behind a wake of ecological and humanitarian concerns, but their financial success is undebatable. The Raases' subsequent diversification into photolithographic techniques for semiconductor manufacture turned them from a moderately successful Dutch family to one of the richest in the world, and provided the capital for Vandyke's varied and often memetic pursuits.

The last living patriarch of the Raas estate is as polarizing as he is compelling, and love him or hate him, he pops up on your feed daily.

He has several children who share his name.

Ingrid was his first.

Ingrid's face is angular. She has a stone-cut jaw, an aquiline nose, and zygomatic arches that, abstracted, could be called striking, but with a lack of otherwise softening contrast, frame her face gauntly.

Her cerulean eyes rarely blink, and her full eyebrows, immaculately shaped, lend to their intensity. She has a short, sharp haircut, with choppy blonde bangs and temples shorn to stubble.

Her voice is on the lower end of the register, dark and carefully moderated. It lends to dip, rather than ascend, and her accent is both rarefied and indistinct, speaking more to class than geography. European? Decidedly not local.

She's 5'9" and willowy, with a sleek figure typically draped in dark grays and blacks irrespective of LA's desert heat.
