Background
Born and raised in the Nation, home schooled at a hippy commune north of San Francisco, his whole life has been peace, Gaia, free love, natural drugs are awesome, you should brew your own beer, turn away from tech, put your toes in the earth and your eyes on the stars. All in all a pretty great upbringing that taught conflict resolution alongside hard work and natural living. He got a little overly into this though and got way too calm. He's a late bloomer because he just wouldn't frenzy and achieve his First Change. His Den Father had to take an active hand in forcing the issue; there were a lot of apologies and ice packs afterwards.
He was kind of a shit student, Jake can't pay attention to save his damned life and tends to forget everything he was just taught, so it took WAY longer than usual to drill cub knowledge into his head. His elders actually made under the table bets about whether or not he'd pass his Rite of Passage, only a couple of people made bank that day because Jake DID pass. By the skin of his teeth and basically through blind luck. Kill the bad guy, save nature, your standard stuff, but he had to try overly hard to remember the steps involved post-smiting. He got to hug a duck though, so that was nice.
His mom gave him her old VW Bug that she used to drive around back in her own roaming days. His Den Father gave him a Harmony Flute so Jake wouldn't get himself eaten by a bear or something because he forgot about the warning signs he read. Another cousin gave him a pair of (literally rose tinted) Mirror Shades to help him out as well. And then he was off! Jake traveled around pretty aimlessly, seeing places and meeting people while trying to figure out what he's supposed to be doing, and somewhere in there he started preaching the good word of Gaia, personal potential, and self-actualization. The habit just sort of stuck while he wound himself back to California. He ended up in LA because some people he picked up along the way said it was groovy.
He fell into a little network of people he can rely on, and parked his van somewhere near Little Tokyo so he can get some noodles and figure out what the hell he's doing since he's definitely forgotten whatever plans he might have come up with.
RP Hooks
Really, really forgetful: "Heeeeeeeey...you!"
Basically homeless: He does have a vintage VW Bus, but sometimes he forgets where he parked it.
Cult Leader: He doesn't do it on purpose! Jake has some rizz, he's got faith, and he spits a good game to those with a mind to listen to his spiritual ramblings about Gaia and nature and eco-friendly washing detergent. It's not his fault he attracts people that are kind and give him money, places to sleep, and hot meals! He's not a scammy swami though, which is why he's not rich.
Good times: Jake is on a first name basis with vice. There's a few drugs he wont do on principle, of course, but past that he's very happy to partake and to celebrate even the smallest things. Fortunately he's not a light weight; for being such skinny, shortish guy, he's got a hollow leg and an iron liver.
Animals: He loves them! He weirds a lot of animals out at first, but he's got the sense and the skill to be chill, earn trust, and prove he's not a threat.
Snap into a Slim Jim: He really, really doesn't like having to resort to violence or anger, but he is what he is and can tear someone's arm off and beat them with it. He'll feel bad later, but only a little bit.

| John Lennon ~ "Imagine"
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today... Aha-ah...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace... You...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world... You...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
