Biography
>Johnny Malone is a SoCal native. He was born in Temecula: the armpit of Inland Empire. He grew up getting into trouble and causing problems for most of his family. He even did a little time as a minor. After he was drafted into the military, he more or less disappeared until the late 80s/early 90s. He was around LA in some capacity, living in West Hollywood (and oddly fluent in Russian) for a time, then in East Los Angeles (and oddly fluent in Spanish) for a time. In 2004 he moved to Seattle, remained there for around a decade, then moved down to Portland: the Seattle of Oregon. Recently he has found his way back to Los Angeles.
RP Hooks
Vietnam
Johnny is a Boomer, and as such he was drafted into the military during Vietnam. He did pretty well for himself there, but there were some general conduct issues that he encountered. He didn't return to the States until after he had been Embraced. Are you a vampire or otherwise unaging being who served in Vietnam, specifically during the DMZ period? You may know Johnny from then!
Marxist-Leninist with Kindred Characteristics
Johnny was Embraced by Vasiliy Belkanov, one of the members of the Brujah Soviet Council of Rostov-on-Don. According to Johnny's personal rhetoric, he bought into (and still buys into) the idea of creating a Marxist society for vampires. He has the Brujah tendency to discuss his opinions about local politics. Very loudly.
Old School Anarch
Johnny came back to SoCal around the time that the Soviet Union collapsed (and the Brujah Council went dark). He lived in Los Angeles from 1990 to 2004 where he fought in several pitched battles that might be fairly well-known to people who study Anarch history – or who lived through it. Along with other fervent believers in the movement, he traveled north to Seattle to help support the cause following the death of Justicar Petrodon. He was nearly given the barony of Bellevue, but he was targeted for assassination. He shortly went south to Portland where he had a fairly quiet unlife, centered around the Anarch movement there. (OOC: Status 🔴)
The Courier
If you need something delivered, even across trackless wastes and roads that seem very inhospitable to Kindred, Johnny is your guy. He knows how to get around California, Arizona, and Nevada, and has a good track record in getting documents, artifacts, and people into and out of places very quickly and efficiently. He has even been known to fly a helicopter when given the opportunity. (OOC: Open Roads merit; Drive 4; Pilot 2)
The Herald
While there wasn't a codified position for him, Johnny served the same function as Herald during his last stretch of time in the old Free State. He took messages to and from MacNeil to different power players in Los Angeles, and even was sent to greet LaCroix when he entered the city. In Seattle, he had a similar purpose and was even able to discuss business (i.e., telling them to get the fuck out of town) with a Sabbat pack without losing his head. They eventually lost theirs since they didn't listen to the message, but you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs (OOC: Noted Messenger merit).
Targeted By Another
Johnny was initially chosen by the Lasombra Mikhail Ilyanovich for the Embrace. Vasiliy Belkanov Embraced Johnny as a mercy following a very brutal attack. This has created deep animosity between the two ancilla to this day. If you are a Lasombra antitribu, you may have heard about this story! (OOC: Rival Sires flaw)
