Julieta grew up outside of San Francisco and spent her entire life there. Her mother and kinfolk father are part of the Sept there, both of them part of the Children of Gaia tribe. For the longest time, none of her family thought that Julieta would go through her First Change. She made it to 21 before it happened and had happily been going through life thinking she was simply going to remain kinfolk to the tribe. As so often they do, things changed overnight and her life was turned upside down. After spending a little over a year with her Sept, she decided it was time to move on and has come to join a friend in LA, hoping to find a place in the City of Angels.
Before changing, Julieta spent most of her time as a social media influencer, sharing her knowledge and love of plants and herbs, using them to make her own beauty and wellness products. She gained a following and started selling the items that she made, mostly in small batches, all of the recipes coming from her abuela. julieguru is the name that she's known under and she's spent a lot of time garnering contacts and networking. She's made a surprisingly good living off of what she does and it allows her to have a job where she's not actually face-to-face with people, which is pretty ideal for what she is.
