La Maison de Sable et de Ciel

The House of Sand and Sky is a large mansion perched at the very edges of the seaside cliffs of Santa Monica. Situated squarely between the houses of two well known celebrities, it is known for ruckus parties that stretch well into the morning, most of which offer live entertainment and lots of eccentric individuals dressed in anything from garish, brightly colored clothing to almost nothing at all.

While certainly not open to the public (after all, exclusive parties must be exclusive), the mansion's owner, Thierry Alain Chevalier, is one of the most infamous party hosts in Los Angeles. Very well connected in the entertainment industry, the long list of standing party invitations includes celebrities, musicians, agents, producers, and others from TV, film, theatre, etc. La Maison is known far and wide as the site for some of the best house parties that greater Los Angeles has to offer.

Plot Hooks

• Thierry Alain Chevalier is the owner of La Maison, and Neve Connelly has been spotted coming and going quite a bit. Though there's been no official word, there's gossip that the young singer may be courting the rich, well-connected entertainment mogul.

• Though exclusive, the house parties at La Maison are lavish, extravagant affairs with live music, costumes, decorations, and free-flowing alcohol (and maybe some other things). They are always "come as you are," which always means different things to different people (especially in the arts and entertainment industries!). From tuxedos and ball gowns to ornate or revealing costumes-- even beach attire is welcome! It can all be found at La Maison. The only requirement is that guests have an open mind and a desire to have a fantastic time!

The Dreaming

The House of Sand and Sky is the manor house of Land's End, a barony of the County of Scale and Vine. It sits on the coast in Santa Monica, a little north of the pier, between the houses of two celebrities. To mortals, Land's End looks like just another beach house, but to faerie sight, it is as extravagant as its pooka Baron, Lord Thierry Alain Chevalier ap Fiona, himself. Like some fairy-tale castle, its spires reach up into the California sunshine, pristine-white and sparkling with stained glass windows. Known for lavish parties that never seem to end, and that cultivate glamour in the endless parade of dreamers that pass in and out of the freehold's doors.

Its demesne extends inland to cover UCLA as well.
