Biography

You know that crazy guy who's always hanging around Exposition Park and USC? Does he live there or something?

Mark "Squid" Parnell (he'll answer to all of those names) didn't come from LA, but he's been here since the late aughts. He's been lurking around Expo Park that whole time, though he did actually attend USC, gaining his BFA in Creative Writing there. (Go Trojans.) He does janitorial and maintenance work in and around several of the Expo Park institutions, plus he volunteers his time to teach writing to kids at Pens Up LA, a local educational nonprofit. Makes sense, because the guy's always scribbling something or another.

He's scary when he's angry, though.
