Peyton

βSometimes I wrestle with my demons, sometimes we just snuggle.β
"With her edgy and unfiltered devil-may-care charm, seductive hell-siren voice, brutally honest and darkly alluring lyrics, and unique risque-but-fashionable style, the Princess of Provocative has swept the nation off its feet and made the alternative scene more relevant than ever." - Rolling Stone Magazine.
Goth-Rock idol, style icon, actress, model, provocateur, philanthropist, bad influence... Princess Provocative, Satanic Cinderella. There's been a lot of labels and media-spun monikers attached to the name Peyton Quinn since the then sixteen-year-old starlet exploded onto the scene with her first album and the following tour as supporting act for Marilyn Manson in 2015, almost overnight becoming one of the hottest tickets in the music industry and one of the celebrity media's favorite subjects due to her undeniable vocal- and lyrical talents, edgy and carefree persona, racy and provocative live performances, and a tendency to flirt with scandal at every opportunity. Her young age, looks, and Cinderella'esque story only served to fan the flames. After all, no one loves a good fairytale more than Hollywood.
Brushing on story; her life wasn't always all gothy glamour and pastel rainbows. Growing up in a dilapidated single-room apartment in Rampart Village with a mom who was too busy hoe'ing to pay much attention to her daughter, two blocks from one of the major MS-13 hangouts in one direction and Skid-Row a coin-toss away in the other, there wasn't much in Peyton's youth that pointed towards fame and riches or even just escaping the slums of DTLA. But then one day, a stray fairy godmother found her performing with her band in a rundown club and took her away in his german made pumpkin across the gilded bridge to the enchanted Western Realm where he introduced her to one of the realm's many princes. And so taken was the prince with the young maiden that he immediately asked for her hand in mammon and signed her to a two-album contract.
Since her initial rocket-rise to stardom, her fame and popularity has continued to grow and spread like wildfire, both in the US and abroad and beyond just the music scene, cementing her position as America's favorite impish idol and making her one of the most gossiped about celebrities and most influential members of Hollywood's 'new generation'.
She's released two more albums, headlined two tours, and worked with artists from Evanescence and The Weeknd to TheFatRat, Marshmello, and Alan Walker. She's been on all the talk shows and been on the cover of all the big fashion, lifestyle, and music magazines at least once, as well as covers and features for Maxim, FHM, and other men's magazines and sites. She's had several appearances in tv-shows, including smaller roles on Black Mirror and two seasons of AHS, a cameo on The Walking Dead, and a voice role for a character very clearly based on herself on an episode of Rick & Morty, and she's the voice actress of the League of Legends champion Xayah. She's got her own line of make-up with Urban Decay and a line of accessories for Killstar, been the face and lead model for Jimmy Choo since 2018, and modeled for a number of other luxury brands. She's also become /very/ popular in Asia - especially Korea, China, Malaysia, and Japan - after her music was used in popular dramas. And she's founded the Stitched Hearts Foundation, which works to help improve the lives of LA's homeless and impoverished with a focus on youth and families with young children.
And then there are the 'scandals', of course, if you can even call leaked sex-tapes and suggestive underage underwear pics, nsfw+ paparazzi-pictures, connections to known elements of LA's gang-scene, getting a female fan off on stage, rumors of heavy drug use, and riding bare-assed down Rodeo Drive on a black stallion while wearing nothing but stockings, plateau-heels, and a collar chained to the saddle actually scandalous in 2020.
She lives in The Flats in Beverly Hills now, but still has friends in and around the Rampart and can occasionally be seen or encountered in her old pre-fame stomping grounds. She recently returned from touring Asia as the last part of her world tour and has been keeping a relatively low profile the last months.
- All off the Above - All of the things mentioned in her Biography are potential hooks, and are more fleshed out than what is written here. Feel free to page or @mail on the game if anything sounds fun or interesting. A couple of the bigger and more obvious ones are listed below with a little more info.
- Generic Superstar-Celebrity Hook - Gallas, premieres, lavish parties. High-end Shopping. Social Networking. Involvement in new projects and working with other artists. Philanthropy.
- William Morris Colossal - William Morris Colossal - the agency Peyton is signed with - is the product of a merger between the famous William Morris Agency and Colossal, a new talent group. WMC is not only a top talent agency in L.A, but also among the largest talent agencies internationally. Though WMA had a storied, 100-year history of representing talent with experience and expertise, Colossal has grown quickly, becoming one of the fastest-growing agencies in the world shortly before the powerhouse merger. Today, WMC represents talent in every arena: movies, TV, music, theatre, digital, and publishing. Their business card has a giant white elephant emblazoned on it, in a true to D.W Griffith's 1916 epic. It is also a reference to the agency's offices at the Hollywood & Highland Entertainment Complex.
- Music (saved my life) - Music is Peyton's life and greatest passion, almost to the point of obsession sometimes. It's where she can really, truly be and express herself - at least according to the young star herself. She writes all her own lyrics and music, and while rock, punk, industrial, and metal make up the lion's share she listens to a lot of different things far beyond her own genres and subculture. Indie and electronic music especially.
- Penny From the Block - Spending most of her time on the streets growing up, Peyton made quite a few acquaintances and even some friends among some of the more permanent fixtures of the homeless community in her own (Rampart Village) and surrounding neighborhoods. She also quickly learned to cozy up to and play nice with some of the area's bigger baddies to keep herself and her real friends at least mostly safe. Even though she's escaped the slums, she still has friends and contacts there, both among the homeless, members of the MS-13, and in the area's general Alternative scene.
- Big in Japan (and China, Korea, and Malaysia) - She's become wildly popular and gained a large following in big parts of SEA after her music was used on a number of hit dramas, and is estimated to currently be one of the most influential non-Asian celebrities in the SEA region. That, of course, extends to the city's local Asian-minority enclaves.
- Alternative Scene - ????.
- Stitched Hearts Foundation - Founded in 2018, the foundation's declared goal is to help improve the lives of LA's homeless, impoverished, and otherwise neglected and voiceless people, as well as help influence gentrification of areas in ways that include the people more rather than simply push the weakest and undesired to other neighborhoods to be forgotten again. There's a number of other celebrities and more-or-less known members of the city's elite involved in the project, and work is being done trying to figure out how to best get a 'board of representatives' consisting of people from the homeless community set up.
