Biography
Russ Malloy appears to be like any sort of person who might migrate to Los Angeles for work or business. He dresses casually, he doesn't seem to have a great deal of wealth, credentials, or any particular thing that might make him stand out from the throngs of millions that inhabit Los Angeles. Just another working class schlub.
For Kindred, however, Russell Malloy is a member of the Brujah Clan originally Embraced in 1980 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was there for around about five years before decamping for the West Coast following the sudden disappearance of his Sire. Although that
seems suspicious, he has been searching for his Sire since the two were parted. He lived in San Francisco until about 2003 following the Quincunx Invasion. The Coterie he was a part of was severed by Cathayans – two of them were killed, leaving Russ and a Toreador named Celia. The two of them left for Portland after Van Nuys re-established control with a letter of note for the Prince of Portland, where they remained for the last 20 years.

Carrying on the tradition of many people originally from Oklahoma, Russ has found himself in Los Angeles. Russ was born and raised in Norman. If you're from the southern Great Plains, you will likely recognize the accent that he's never been able to shake.
Something of a linguist
Russ speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently and will speak to people in their native language rather than English. He has a curious Portuguese accent.
Kind of spooky
If you're a religious type, especially if you have True Faith, Russ is deeply unnerving to be around.

Philosophy majors never prosper
Russ went to UC Berkeley and graduated with a BA in Philosophy. In 1975. In any case, he can wax on about Camus, Kierkegaard, and Stirner with the best of them.
Former Scourge
Russ had the unenviable position of Scourge in the city of San Francisco after serving as a Hound for some time. It is unclear what his actual opinions of Thin-Bloods are, but his reputation is not great in that regard.
Ain't nothin' but a Hound, dawg
(ed: jesus christ, that made me cringe) Russ used to be a Hound in the city of Portland. When the Sheriff of Portland went up to investigate the assassination of Justicar Petrodon, Russ became a sheriff pro tempore. He did an all right job, but resumed Hound duties when the actual Sheriff returned.
Childe of Guilherme de Coimbra
Russ' sire is named Guilherme and ruled Coimbra, Portugal after its reconquest from Ashirra forces in the late 11th century. As of 1985, Guilherme disappeared following Russ' introduction to the Court of Albuquerque. Russ himself was likely suspected as a diablerist (no one officially spoke with him), but the devotion and love he continues to have for his Sire is well-known among the Praxes of which he has been a member.
Chivalry is undead
Russ abides by a chivalric code. That is, he offers honor to his opponents, seeks to address violence against noncombatants and non-affiliates, and provides succor to innocents.
