Tadzi/Journey

From LiberationMUSH Wiki

This is mostly for my benefit so as to keep things in mind, but here's what Tadzi did while he was away.

  • Tadzi returned to Bonneville Flats Sept to visit with Rue after she left Los Angeles. Tadzi and Rue hunted down a fomor servant connected to a fomorach that they killed -- something referred to as The Pawnbroker, a grotesque possessed that glutted itself off of hopelessness and fear -- in Las Vegas prior to Tadzi's initial relocation to L.A. The servant had managed to summon up a Halassh which Tadzi led away from Rue while she took on their primary prey. Tadzi led the creature through a *deeply annoying* chase which allowed Tadzi to make more than a few connecting shots with his rifle before running out of ammo and being forced into addressing the creature in close quarters. He attempted to draw the Bane, now injured and tired from spending its Essence to chase Tadzi down, into a ravine. Tadzi made a tactical error and got a blast of acid into his neck which nearly killed him. He happened to be going for the creature's throat while this was happening and wrenched its head off. Rue discovered and healed Tadzi well enough that he didn't die. For this he earned Glory as a Ragabash.
  • Tadzi's nearest brother dies under somewhat mysterious circumstances. Upon learning about this, Tadzi travels back to Yellowstone and begins to investigate. He uncovers a plot against his brother by a pack. His brother had mated with a Kin that another Garou wanted for himself. They engaged in a duel and Tadzi's brother lost and surrendered honorably. The Garou in question killed him anyway. Tadzi's job isn't necessarily to follow up on this or to dispense justice or violence, so he reports it back to his father who punishes the murderers accordingly. This earned him Honor for following the Ragabash's path.
  • During his time at Yellowstone, Tadzi spent some time out on his own. He had learned a little more about the Occult since going to L.A., and spending time with Raul had helped him become more attuned to the Umbra. He found that close to a ranger station, a collection of Wyld spirits were being tormented by some spirits of man who were a bit too Weaver-aligned. Tadzi communed with his ancestors and sought advice from Grandfather Smoke's brood. He used the rigidity of the Weaver-affiliated spirits against them and tricked them into releasing the Wyld spirits. This earned him Wisdom as an Uktena. Additionally, Tadzi was put on the path of the Wyld Children, which he hopes to join one day.
  • Upon traveling back in the direction of L.A., his business concluded, Tadzi finds a group of Kinfolk who have been arrested in a relatively small town in southern Utah. He spends some time investigating this, as the Kinfolk are being arrested for drug trafficking -- Tadzi's assumption is that they had some marijuana and drove through town and started to do some legwork -- but it turned out that the sheriff was bane-ridden and knew how to sense Kinfolk through the spirit riding him. He had hoped to find the Kinfolks' bawn through interrogation techniques. Tadzi managed to find the local bawn (pretty far away, to be honest) and informed the locals of the problem in town. They dealt with it, but through operating within his breed, he received Honor for protecting the Kin.
  • Finally, Tadzi found his truck broken down and out of gas in the Mojave Desert between Barstow and Bell Mountain. He didn't have any money, nor any way to contact the people he knew in L.A. He set out on foot and quickly realized his folly given that he's not the most well-versed in survival techniques. Three days into walking, he found himself in a place where the Umbra was thinner and crossed. He found a small flock of roadrunner spirits and offered them a secret: there was a weak place of power that was being occupied by humans that he had passed on the way through the desert, around the area of Hub Ripper Hill. Tadzi obviously didn't investigate this or see who exactly these humans were, but the roadrunner spirits were thankful and offered to provide Tadzi with some faster travel for a time. Tadzi arrived in Victorville and did a few odd jobs for cash, got himself a beater car and made it back to L.A.
