Welcome to the Concrete Jungle

First and foremost, welcome to the (concrete) jungle! Ripley Tenor, rited several things but Always Pure will get his attention, is the warder of the Sept of the Smiling Angel. This means that he, or someone he has deputized or knighted will be the one to meet you and vette you before you get led to the bawn itself. As Concrete Coyote is a wily one, the bawn is basically near impossible to find without being guided to it. So, everyone is met outside of the bawn first that is usually a kinfolk business. House of the Rising Foam is a popular destination for a meet and greet because Ripley's family owns and runs it. Junked and Disorderly is another locale for a meet and greet, along with an oil change. Both locations have easy access to reach Ripley.

Gaining Access:

As it stands, only a single other wolf has been deputized so far and that is Paola 'Her-Wounds-Are-Fresh' who has been associated with the Warder for years, regardless of who currently holds the position. I might pick just one more that will probably be a Children of Gaia or Glass Walker.
Guardian Packs!
Danger, Garou and Kinfolk, Danger!

Beset on all sides, there isnt a direction you can head without running into some worry. West across the freeway is a very robust and capable Black Spiral Dancer that would love to push the Nation out. North is a collection of kuei-jin in Little Tokyo. South, and the southland, is a collection of territory fought over by Bone Gnawer packs that aren't too fond of the sept itself and are independent in all the ways that matter.
The Sept of the Smiling Angel is a dangerous location so anyone closely tied to the sept ends up pulling patrol shifts. The alternative is running the same pack or two ragged. Guardian packs can form and disperse very easily and only go through the rite of totem when they get handed down a mission of some import. ICly, Ripley can and will point at unpacked wolves to stuff them into a pack for the purposes of guarding the Bawn.
OOCly, this is done as new arrivals come in and gets them with groups that can find plot easily without all the wrangling and expectations of putting together a pack might normally entail and without the drama of a packing dissolving might have. Easy come, easy go. At the moment, this is entirely an opt-in situation. TL:DR.

1. All new arrivals are met away from the bawn, by either Ripley or a deputy, at a kinfolk business and then brought to the bawn.
2. Bawn patrols can be undertaken by anybody. The caern is in such a precarious position regarding proximity to outside threats that guard duty is a la-di-da-di everybody chore.
3. If you want, Ripley can be the booming voice that coalesces Guardian packs as new arrivals come in and commit to the caern. This gives an RP hook to get you and others into the mix fast. If you like each other, it will be easy to get your pack a totem.
