We were born out of the conflicts and rivalries of others, but we refuse to be born into those conflicts. We choose not to continue that legacy, but to forge our own. Even a self-governing collective with no formal leadership structure needs some points of contact and diplomacy, and in the WSC that part is played by Zebastian and Cassie. Probably in large part because they're the only ones that can really be bothered dealing with all the politics and oooold vampires.
