Those words heralded the beginning of everything truly evolving for young trans adventurer, Terra Shade Darling. Born under a different sign and name, she was raised by the mysterious Covenant Truth, a family-like environment that gifted its pupils and relations with three things: boundless energy, insatiable curiosity and a drive to learn the truth above all else.
The Shade series begins with the first adventures undertaken by Terra Shade Darling as she explores the underworld of the Gentle Tribes, those hidden world occupants known as the Fae, and their dealings with the criminal element, high society and all of the points in between them. Steeling her resolve, she sets herself to the first of her quests: to find out who kidnapped her friend and mentor, the infamous "Triple J", Jesse James Jericho, burlesque dancer and activist. Against her are the entire history of the Gentle Tribes, the criminal elite of Los Angeles and the police unit known only as Badge Six.
