• Glass Walkers: The Balistreri family is well-known among the Wise Guys. Their history of weapons manufacture and smuggling dates back not decades, but centuries. Renata 'came up' in the family earlier than most, and by 2015 was in charge of the Genovese weapons-smuggling and distribution operation. Until recently, that operation was thriving under her leadership. In the fall of 2021, though, a bombing attack resulted in the deaths and disappearances of the entire crew. Speculation among the Glass Walkers is that one of the crew betrayed them to the local Dancers.


• Organized Crime: Renata Balistreri was, until recently, a gun runner smuggling weapons through New York and Newark, working for the Genovese crime family. She is infamous (and hated) among competing organized crime groups like the Yakuza, Russian Bratva and Armenian mob.
