But that wasn't the end for Cooper. The bar with the boxing fight had inspired him to try something and shortly after, he purchased a piece of property in DTLA and advertising for The Marquis began to appear throughout the city. A unique nightclub, with an indoor fighting ring and scheduled fights. Somehow, he even managed to get permits signed off from city hall. Now, he's just putting the final touches on the place before the doors open.

Overview

Cooper Sullivan made a name for himself in the MMA world, beginning at the age of 22. For over a decade, the man would rise through the ranks to be considered one of the best fighters around, commanding massive endorsements and fighting for outrageously large prizes. But then, at 34, something happened. That once stellar career began to come crashing down as he lost fight after fight and it would seem that he just couldn't recover. Whispered rumor within the fighting circle was that Cooper threw a series of fights, though an investigation into the matter failed to turn up any proof. After all, the man didn't need the money from throwing the fights and he certainly didn't seem to profit from the losses. He ended up being labeled a 'Wash Out' and 'Has Been' and just before his 35th birthday, he announced his retirement and stepped away from the ring.
