			Summer Hastings “Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together.” ― Marilyn Monroe Overview Mortal Years: Summer was born in Los Angeles in the early 80's. Her father, David Love, was a famous Hollywood director who garnered an early cult following for his films' marriage of unflinching violence and offbeat humor (think Tarantino). In the late 90's, the nation was shocked when this well-liked and very public fixture of the Hollywood elite killed himself. Nonetheless, Summer went on to graduate valedictorian at her Bel Air high school and later summa cum laude at UCLA. The next step was supposed to be law school, but that would be the end of her mortal life. By all accounts, she is reputed to have committed suicide, although her remaining family at the time insisted she would have never done that -- not after her father's own death. It was an intriguing mystery, full of ripe theories and conspiratorial gossip, up until the next pretty girl went missing and Summer's own story faded to the background. Vampire History: For Kindred living in Los Angeles in the early 2000's, they might have heard a rumor or two. They say that Summer was being groomed for embrace by an influential Toreador in the city, but that a rival Malkavian got to her first. The resulting backlash and bad blood forced the Malkavian and his new ghoul, Summer, to leave the city -- but that might only be hearsay. Regardless, when she returned to Los Angeles in 2016, she belonged to clan Toreador. In Kindred circles, she has the reputation of being a good middle-man and fixer for in-sect and out-of-sect disputes (Peacemaker Merit). She excels at using her broad network to connect people with each other and for finding and nourishing an individual's innate potential. In 2017, she seamlessly slid into the position of Harpy. She was a vocal supporter for Prince Altamirana's ascension, using her popularity and good standing (Sanctity Merit) to drum up support. Summer has held the title of Primogen for less than a year, but it's obvious that she has the ambition and connections necessary to gain a foothold amongst the Roses and currently claims the Arts District and Gallery Row as her domains. RP Hooks She is the Toreador Primogen and claims both the Arts District and Gallery Row as her domain.
