Born to a navy surgeon and a chemical worker, Alyssa's childhood was not a very stable or pleasant one. Losing her mother early in life to cancer and her home life descending into a spiral, she found solace in faith. Epiphany was an empowering time, but also one of great uncertainty as she harmed her brother and ran away from home. She was taken under the wing of a Knight of Saint George out in the Mojave, and she grew up in a small cloister with other choristers. This sheltered awakening was one of obeisance and hierarchy, she learned through her faith in the One. It was out of a strong desire to see the world through these new eyes and to use her abilities to help others that she took the oaths and became a sworn squire to the Knights, a role she embraced whole heartedly. Her initial romanticism was very quickly shattered, but she still found the higher purpose driving and inspiring. Instead of high school and university, Alyssa was a silent scout and protector. Her experience was mostly informal, living an itinerant life up until her knight disappeared suddenly.
