Thomas "Tommy Thunder" Lei. Benefactor, Daoshi, Shifu. Man about town in the Chinese community of Los Angeles. Hero to some, villain to others, mystery to many. The public face of a small dragon gate Taoist temple in Chinatown - the Temple of the Eternal Spring. The private force behind the Hong Lian Benevolent Association (informally known as the House of the Crimson Lotus) - a community group-cum-street gang with a focus on bridging the gap between the native and immigrant Chinese communities in Los Angeles through the curation of cultural events and the coordination of mutual-aid efforts.
