Callie
California was born in, well, California! Specifically, the girl was born and raised in downtown Hollywood, surrounded by both the glitz of the industry, and the grime of the city. Her mom is Sarah "Kills-With-Purpose", a Black Fury Ahroun of some renown who works with the local caern. Her pack is often abroad, however, meaning she isn't in town all the time. Her dad, Vic, is a carpenter who works for Warner Bros, and an alcoholic and kin.
Her childhood wasn't abusive, but it was pretty neglectful. Mom wasn't around often, and dad was working or drunk. She spent a lot of time at the Caern as a kid, though, hanging out with other kin and learning early about her kind and tribe. She also found solace in movies. One of the other kin sat her down with a movie to keep her quiet...and she was sucked in. Specifically, she became obsessed with horror movies.
She stole her dad's old camcorder and filmed a basic found footage horror movie. Then she made another one. And another one. They became more indepth, more real. At fifteen she submitted her movie to a local horror festival...and won Best In Show. At fifteen. It was a bit of a kerfuffle. She used the prize money to fund her next movie, and so on.
Now that she's graduated high school she's won a scholarship from yet another festival win, and has started going to UCLA for a degree in Film Studies.
- Local : Except for a few trips to film festivals she was showing in, Callie has lived in Los Angeles her whole life. Not only that, but she's been a member of the local Garou Caern since she was a baby! It is very easy to have connections with the girl. Just poke if interested, whether shifter or otherwise!
- Smol : Yeah, she's 4'9". What of it?
- Kin : She's Fury Kin with decent breeding (PB 3). Her mom is a well-known local Fury Ahroun. She doesn't seem to have a huge issue with most men, but she will NOT hesitate to call someone out on sexism or being shitty towards her, especially in the film industry.
- Pan : Her mom is gay, but mated with Callie's dad because it's her duty. They do not love each other, or even like each other. Callie has had both boyfriends and girlfriends, but nothing lasting. Her last girlfriend was Calliope, a transgirl trying to make it as an actress. The relationship turned toxic, though.
- College : Callie goes to UCLA for Film Studies. She earned a scholarship after winning the Los Angeles Horror Festival in 2019 as Best In Show AND Most Disturbing Work with her 1970's based horror movie, Amy Said No, about a possession and exorcism in a small town in rural California.
- Fame : If you follow horror movie news, indie films, or even read Fangoria sometimes, you might have heard of Callie. She's a young upstart in the industry, and making waves. She has a loyal following already, and others who talk down to her, saying she wins awards because her age and gender make her a 'novelty' in the industry.
