"I'm not that kind of doctor."
Like so many other Native Angelenos, James Geffen was born into 'the Industry' and raised among entertainment people. However, unlike so many progeny of Hollywood producers, directors, or celebrities, James didnt create his own jeans line, or sell custom jewelry, or become a cheesy club promoter. Instead, he went the opposite direction.
It was probably guilt that sent him into the caregiver mode, taking a medical school degree and shipping off to war torn countries of the third world - Refugee camps, disease ridden villages, and just about any favela that could benefit from a white man who knows how to treat an injury.
Now, he's returned home, maybe for private practice... or maybe to treat botched plastic surgeries. You wont see him hobknobbing with celebs or influencers, but there's a good chance he'd fit in if he tried.
