Helena always liked to sing along with her favorite music, and she'd put recordings of herself doing so online on her own little blog, where she also posted her own workout and bodysculpting videos, just for the joy of it. Her voice wasn't great... but her verve, her joy in creating music caught the ear of a passing Kindred. Taken from her home in New York City on the night of her Embrace, she was spirited away to her sire's secret dwelling, where she was taught how to survive as a Kindred, and how to be a newly-Turned Daughter of Cacophony -- one to live in the world until needed, a 'hidden voice' for when her sire had need of her.
Her Sire eventually cut her loose, with a small amount of starting funds with which to make her way in the world, and with strong caution to never attempt to return to her previous life. Helena went to the opposite side of the country from her old home, seeking to find a place for herself in Los Angeles -- hoping to mix with the teeming masses there. It was there that she heard music on the internet, and it drew her in for the same reason her singing drew her sire to her -- the creator of the music, a digital artist known as "Tripper", loved creating his mixes and edits, and the Fugue carried the young man's joy to her through his work.
She put her ear to the street and, eventually, found him... and made him hers. It almost broke her heart to take his free will from him (as she sees it) by means of the Blood Bond, but she had to be there with him as he made his songs, to hear and feel the joy his work brought him. She took up residence in the basement of his Pasadena home... and it wasn't long before she started singing along with his music, adding her voice, enchanting to the ear since her Embrace, to his recordings.
