Jacen

Introduction
“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” – John Lennon (1813)

Background

Jacen was born and spent his early years in Los Angeles. He eventually attended Columbia University on a full scholarship, eventually graduating with a Doctorate in Philosophy of Psychiatry. Working primarily in academia after his education, he appears to have lived a mostly quiet life working with students. A two-year hiatus for 'personal reasons' has culminated with a move to Los Angeles.

Do you clip newspapers? A lot? Like a lot a lot?

Then perhaps the name Jacen Pearson rings a bell. Jacen is one third of the 'Survivor Triplets', a trio of teens who survived the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center North Tower, and were orphaned by it.

Disclaimer
I like to write. This means a few things:
  1. I will 'metapose' or 'metanarrate'. That said, any text you see, feel free to ICly react to.
  2. I'll probably be moving slower than others (choosing the correct word takes time!).

I like heroic stories, but I am indifferent to pulp. Emerson said it best: "A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer."

Using the 'red/yellow/green' Content Warning system, I am GREEN for all content types. I like heroic stories, but the deeper the darkness, the brighter the light.

Soundtrack
"One Headlight" -The Wallflowers

So long ago I don't remember when
That's when they say I lost my only friend
Well they said she died easy of a broke heart disease
As I listened through the cemetary trees.
I seen the sun coming up at the funeral at dawn
With the long broken arm of human law
Now it always seemed such a waste
She always had a pretty face
I wondered why she hung around this place

Well this place is old
It feels just like a beat up truck
I turn the engine but the engine doesn't turn
Well it smells of cheap wine and cigarettes
This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I'd like to watch it burn
I'm so alone
Feel just like somebody else
Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same
But somewhere here in between the city walls of dying dreams
I think her death, it must be killing me
