Background
Jennifer Chen grew up in a family stressing education. The middle of three daughters to a wealthy Korean industrialist father and a Chinese linguistics professor mother, Jennifer followed in her mother's footsteps. By her mid twenties she had an undergraduate degree from UCLA, and a Ph.D in Linguistics from USC.
After college she spent awhile traveling the world, relying on a small trust fund and money made doing jobs as a translator to fuel her desire to see areas that the already well-traveled young woman had not been to before.
In Spain she found a calling, falling in love with the tapas bars in the mountains of Andalucia. Spending several months there, she learned the dances of the region and finally left with a desire to create a pocket of the region in Los Angeles, in the form of a tapas restaurant and Latin dance club.
Now she has realized that dream. Her cozy restaurant Andalucia is situated near to the universities and staffed mostly with college students. Her upbringing and discriminating tastes around fine food and beverage has resulted in a delicious menu for the restaurant.
Jennifer has a very serene, warm personality that leaves most people well-disposed to her. In no time her little restaurant and dance club has become more than just a business, it's become a home for herself and the students employed there.
