Background
Born and raised right in LA, Lawrence studied Mythological Studies at the Los Angeles Academy of Art, deviating from his parents' desire for him to follow their footsteps in the financial sector. He had (and has) a keen interest in ancient Greek mythos, literature and art alike, with particular focus on the gods of Olympus. Despite his parents' dislike of his path, they did at least help him through college - and in turn, he was willing to at least learn how to manage his own personal stock portfolio, even if he had no interest in *working* in the industry.
Currently, he is employed at the Getty Research Institute as a researcher of ancient Mycenaean and Greek art, with that focus on the Olympic pantheon.
RP Hooks
Getty Institute: Lawrence is a researcher working for the Getty Institute. His area of expertise is on ancient Greek mythology and art, with a focus on Dionysian influence of the era. Maybe you've seen him around?
Hobbyist Winemaker: In his off time, Lawrence sometimes makes his own wine, attempting to reconstruct ancient recipes. And if it doesn't work? Hey, it's still wine.
Curious Nature: Lawrence is prone to investigating unusual things, or exploring interesting topics he doesn't have much experience with. This could be niche subjects he heard about once, or some Weird Supernatural Hijinks that has just GOT to have a rational explanation.
Occasional Hedonist: He has been known to partake in questionably indulgent activities from time to time, if only to experience modern examples of hedonism.
Contacts
Sophia - Out of all the anthropologists I've met, you're the only one who seems to get that the past isn't just some storybook. Perhaps I'll take your suggestion and try honoring the gods of old after all.
Minerva - Oh look, another goth girl gushing about Dionysus. Whoa. With all that knowledge you've got in that head of yours, you really did miss your calling at the Getty. And consider me supremely impressed. We should definitely talk more.
Millicent - They say even the sweetest rose has its thorns. Your thorns, I like.
Rachel - Why do I feel like I adopted a niece?
