Biography
Nura Al-Musayibi was born in Oakland to parents who had come to the United States to finish their education. Like most Iraqi-American kids, she had a lot of pressure on her to succeed as well, with the anticipation that she would go into engineering or medicine. She grew up Muslim and seems to still hold to some of the traditions, though is largely non-practicing on the grand scale.
Kicked out of her house at a young age, she lived on the streets of San Francisco until she met some people associated with the faction of her Tradition (Klubwerks kids from the Cultists of Ecstasy). She fell in with that crowd easily, was introduced to the local Chantry, and began her training. She met someone named Santiago and started a cabal with him and a couple others. This cabal fell apart for seemingly no reason and Nura retreated from magickal life for about 8 months.
Returning with more resolve, Nura had undergone a Seeking and received some kind of wisdom. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has linked up with the Ascension Lodge and is in a band with Santiago and Leila. They tentatively call themselves Apostates. The three of them are in a cabal called Winds of Change.
