Wren, born Renata Lucia Balistreri, arrived in L.A. in October of 2021. She came to the City with a new face, a suitcase full of cash, a customized Barrett M82, a Sig P320 Nitrogen subcompact... oh, and also a suitcase full of things regular people put in a suitcase. She's off the grid and on the darkweb, out of her element and in her prime.

Thanks to a little help from her tribe, she has a new name, just as aggressively Italian as the old one: Caterenna Ilaria Bruno. 'Ilaria' mean 'joyful'...proof that one Jeremy Yoon has a subtle sense of humor.

• Glass Walkers: The Balistreri family is well-known among the Wise Guys. Their history of weapons manufacture and smuggling dates back not decades, but centuries. Renata 'came up' in the family earlier than most, and by 2015 was in charge of the Genovese weapons-smuggling and distribution operation. Until recently, that operation was thriving under her leadership. In the fall of 2021, though, a bombing attack resulted in the deaths and disappearances of the entire crew. Speculation among the Glass Walkers is that one of the crew betrayed them to the local Dancers.


• Organized Crime: Renata Balistreri was, until recently, a gun runner smuggling weapons through New York and Newark, working for the Genovese crime family. She is infamous (and hated) among competing organized crime groups like the Yakuza, Russian Bratva and Armenian mob. Speculation is rampant about just who it was who wiped out the Genovese gun-running operation, with the Yakuza currently leading the odds with the bookies.
