Summary: A Gangrel neonate is provoked to frenzy in Elysium
Nisha has arrived.
Lunette glances to Elizabeth and her smile warms for the woman, eyes glittering as she says, "Hello.." in a softer, playful sort of way. She holds her gaze upon Liz for a few seconds before looking back to Lydon and listening to what he tells her. "Oh, sounds like a usual night for many here.. So, did you find what you were looking for? Any juicy bits you care to share for one who just arrived?" she asks while keeping her gaze on him, body turning so she can take a few steps closer to Liz. She stops at her side and lifts a hand, pressing it lightly between her shoulder blades to rub once before she finally looks away so she may peck Liz's cheek softly.
"Vell, if you visch for ze opportunity to aid your Clan, I sink ze best chance of doing zis vould be to speak wis Becky. I've admittedly not heard much from ze oser members of your Clan." Lydon tells Javier with a polite incline of his head towards the Gangrel. Though he pauses and turns a glance for Elizabeth, tilting his head in contemplation. "I vould admit however, I've not interacted wis many of your Clan. Becky holds ze most important piece of Gangrel domain, and seems agreeable to Bastian Fox's intent." "Zere has been talk of ze Gangrel visching to select someone to serve as Primogen. I vould wager zat Becky vould have ze strongest claim to zis position, from vhere I sit." Otherwise, he turns to greet Lunette with his cold gaze and he tilts his head in contemplation. "Not yet." He decides, and then pauses. "I sink ze only fresh bit of gossip vas vat I provided Chancellor Tanner, earlier zis evening. Ze defeat of many South LA Anarch Gang leaders." <English>
Elizabeth leans in to accept that peck to her cheek and she returns it in kind before telling Lunette, "You look lovely tonight, Lunette." Leaning back, she laughs softly, "Lydon had some wonderful news but..." her purse buzz-buzzes, "...I will need to leave that to him. Mister Vogel? Javier? Good evening."
To Lunette, she adds, "I'll see you back home? I need to head to a meeting." With that said, the scrawny waif returns to the entrance and claims her tan long coat from the door guard before she rushes outside.
Elizabeth has left.
"Thank you," Javier replies with a smile to Elizabeth before he looks at Lydon as he speaks. Trying to follow his words through the thick accent it takes a minute before the gangrel nods and seems to consider what's said. "We'll figure it out," pausing he waves to Elizabeth as she takes her leave then continues on, "Who defeated them?"
With Liz's departure, Lunette is left with a little pout to show for it, and she murmurs, "Always so.. so busy, that woman.. Never rests.." She forces a faux sigh with that pout, and soon enough her grin is returning as she says, "Guess I'll just have to assume she doesn't mind if I go out on my own for a bit tonight.. I'm sure I'll be fine." She chuckles gently, then looks back to the small group of those who remain.
Lunette listens about the Gangrel goings on, but she says nothing on it, instead pressing her lips together softly for a moment before she looks to Javier and back to Lydon. Her expression is now curious as if to ask 'Yes, who did it?', and she waits.
"Ze Camarilla vould be ze simple answer." Lydon answers for Javier, and then shrugs lightly in response. "It vas an initiative led by Bastian Fox, who commissioned someone by ze name of David Geduld to arrange a meeting wis Spade, Ghost and Amani, ze Anarch Gangleaders." He explains for the Gangrel. "Zey met wis a number of Nosferatu wetworks concealed nearby, who launched an ambush against ze Anarchs. It vas a crushing defeat for zem, and a grand success for ze Camarilla." "Ze Gang leaders did escape, however, wis a number of zeir members torpored, and one or two granted ze Final Death." He continues, stealing a cold glance for Lunette, and nodding for her. "Vell. Someone must tend to ze important duties she keeps." He suggests, and shrugs lightly. <English>
"Sounds like those Anarch's should have known better." Javier doesn't seem too worried and gives a shrug. Thoughtful over the news though he looks to Lunette and winks, "If you need a chaperone, I can take on the role. I'm pretty good at being that kind of guy." Chuckling a bit he looks back to Lydon, "The Becky you talk about. I didn't see her on the roster or as a part of the tower. She is? A member of the tower, a gangrel in the sect?"
Nisha passes Elizabeth as she leaves, giving a proper greeting and steps towards Lunette and Javier. "Good evening you two.", offering a cant of her head as she sticks her hands into the pockets of her lab coat to get comfortable. Grabbing a seat next to them, Nisha wore a green v-neck cotton t-shirt and blue jeans with black pumps. "Hey Lulu, glad to see your alright.", turning to Javier, "Nah, I'll talk to you about Becky later. She's an Anarch and the local Praxis is fucking with gangrel affairs without evening consulting us. Very boorish.", tssking softly.
Lifting her brows slightly at that news, Lunette murmurs, "He sure isn't wasting any time in pushing us all to war, is he?" Her lips pinch together for a moment, then relax. "Seems we'll be battling our neighbors as well as the Sword soon enough. How fun." She flashes a smile at that, then glances to Javier. "Becky.. -was- an anarch, but.." Her brows pop up at that and she moves on to tell him, "I appreciate the offer, but I'll pass. How can I have something fun to discuss with Judith if someone's making sure I behave?" Her smile shows once again and she begins to move away. "Have a good night, boys. Be good." She wiggles her fingers in a little wave as she heads off to go enjoy the night, but she does stop along the way to grin wider at Nisha. "Evening, Nisha," and she continues on.
"Becky has not been officially named a member of ze Camarilla, zis is correct. However, I believe wis her success against ze former Gangrel of Griffith Park, she has received ze domain from Bastian Fox and seems to be of ze mind to support ze Camarilla." Lydon explains for Javier. "She may be young, still a neonate herself, but... I vould not imagine zat Bastian Fox vould have any reason to deny her entry into ze Camarilla." He continues, sweeping an icy glance towards Nisha as she arrives, which leaves him smirking. "Vell, as I said. I'm not ze most up-to-date wis ze Gangrel, but. She certainly has displayed ze best etiquette for Camarilla politics." Though with Lunette turning to leave, his gaze drifts after her for a moment. "Enjoy your evening, Miss Faucher." <English>
Lunette has left.
Smiling to Lunette and waving to Nisha as she enters, Javier motions for her to sit with them even as she does. Leaning over he gives her a softly spoken greeting before his attention returns to the departing kindred with a wave. "You say she HAS displayed or HASN't?" Looking to Lydon for clarification he laughs, "I'm guessing has if you think she should potentially be a member of the tower." Judith has arrived.
"Well, if your not really the most up-to-date on clan Gangrel matters or Becky herself, perhaps it would be wise and show a hint of reservation, Lydon. There is etiquette in not discussing some of your opinions in public. Especially in front of Gangrel, who are in the same room.", giving Lydon a warm look as comforting as a summers day. A soft sigh, before turning to Javier, "I guess our clan is the talk of the hour, again.", thumbing her bottom lip, Nisha looked to the clan mate.
"You suck at basketball bro...", teasing Javier with a large laugh and perhaps switching the subject.
"She has, ja. She is one of ze most vell mannered Gangrel I've interacted wis, aside from perhaps yourself." Lydon expresses towards Javier with a polite incline of his head, the German Tremere standing with both of his hands stuffed neatly into his pockets, dressed in his black business suit as he speaks with the pair of Gangrel. "Fortunately, or unfortunately, not much has been heard of, zat I know of, from Mister George Davies, Archon Cordelia Whitechurch's Gangrel assistant. Vhich, to be honest, ze assistant to an Archon vould not make for an ideal Primogen for ze sole reason of... Archons are not typically... Rooted in a singular Praxis." He expresses. "On ze oserhand, I vould say zat he likely has quite a bit of wisdom and experience for your Clan, zat could be of great benefit to you. He vould be someone for you to link up to, if you can find him." A passing glance is cast towards Nisha, the German Tremere inspecting her briefly and then glancing back for Javier. "But, you vill find zat many of ze Gangrel are young and uneducated on Camarilla politics." <English>
Judith mounts the top of the stairs deep in a phonecall -- apparently she's not young and hip enough to use a headset, that smartphone is pressed directly to her right ear. And her Arabic, delivered quietly in that low contralto of hers, could absolutely be somebody's love-language if she wasn't clearly conducting some sort of actual business with whoever's at the other end. She does flick a look around the room to see who's here, noting one or two over the others, and that default mode of a half-smile fixes into place. She does not approach the others. Ends her phone call with something like: "Afealha alan min fadlika. My best to your children. Adhhab bisalam." And closes the phonecall with a long thumb.
Looking to the entrance as Judith enters gives Javier a reason to not intrude on the conversation between Nisha and Lydon. As they speak of Gangrel affairs he gives the rose a wave of greeting then looks back to Nisha with a laugh. "I think we learned if nothing else, that you're a shark." Its a gentle tease for his fellow gangrel before he nods in thanks to Lydon. "Thanks. I try to be nice unless being less so is required. As for me, I'm pretty young and fairly uneducated so I guess I fit in just well with my peers."
"And you would find that many -young- members of clan Tremere are sorely lacking in education and wisdom when it comes to Clan Gangrel and other clans they view as lesser. We used to be turned into Gargoyles by you guys.", giving Lydon a wink. "Please, tell us more how we should run our clan as an outsider. Who are best leaders might be. When you haven't spent a day or night as one of us. I'll totally shut up. Once your done, I'll start telling you how clan Tremere should be.", zip locking her mouth with a pantomime and nodding her head, as Nisha looked to Lydon.
Laughing at what Javier says, "Yep, that makes two of us.", offering a small wave to Judith.
"Oh, ja. Vell, certain I mean no offense for ze young and uneducated in regards to ze Camarilla. It can be a complex sing to navigate, even for ze more aged and experienced of Kindred." Lydon expresses for Javier, leaning against something as they speak. With Judith arriving, his attention turns towards her and he respectfully inclines his head. "Miss Delsartio. A pleasure to see you again. You are looking raser stunning, zis evening. Although, zis has been true for every night zat I've had ze pleasure of your company thus far. I trust business is vell for you?" While Nisha sets into him, the German Tremere steals a glance towards her and tilts his head for a moment. Then his attention drifts back towards Javier. "Miss Yoon is upset at me, clearly. For context, she is upset at me as I am soon to be named ze Scourge of LA and since she does not know who her Sire is, zis makes her position in ze Camarilla tenious, as somesing of a rogue embrace. Furser, she is upset zat I revealed to ze Praxis zat she has somesing of an interest in studying ze black magick of Necromancy. Zis, a fascination of hers only AFTER she watched a woman stuffed into a wood chipper, in ze pursuit of zis study." He expresses, and glances towards Nisha. "Tell me, is your dress still painted wis zis woman? Abby, I sink you said her name vas? Poor Abby..." <English>
"Nonsense, Lydon, I'm nothing of the sort. I've been teaching self-defense and only my lipstick is currently stunning. You may have the wrong Rose, tonight." She smiles a little more widely, but the expression's still soft. Then she does something ... possibly noteworthy, now. She slips that phone into a hip pocket and approaches those gathered at a somewhat winding angle. Visible to all, her hands dropped and obviously empty, then clasp behind her. And because Lydon is standing in a somewhat tight spot, she'll have to angle off to come up behind him, clearing her throat. Nothing sneaky. The two are of an approximately identical height and all she does is come up within arm's range, wait for a lull in the conversation, lean in very slightly and say something exquisitely quietly just behind Lydon's right ear. It must be noted that she in no way touches the Tremere. Her eyes are dark. But then, they always are.
"Huh." That is all Javier says as he listens to Lydon and Nisha. Pursing his lips, he can't help but laugh before he leans towards his clan mate and sniffs at her dress and the white coat she wears. "Sadly, I don't smell an Abby or blood currently." Shrugging a bit, he looks between them and adds, "I think you're right. It can be hard navigating the nuance of tower life. The things one should say and shouldn't say, all of that. It's tenuous." Looking at Judith as she moves he watches the interaction between the pair and then asks, "Self-defense? Hand-to-hand, who was the student or students? Did they do well?"
Nisha stands up, "CORPSE-FUCKER!", she yells that to Lydon. "How dare you air dirty laundry, of me being a Necromancer when -your- actually keeping corpses in your bedroom like a trophy. There is no purpose in that, unless your getting a little frisky with them. Because you certainly have a lab or dungeon to store them at the chantry, in case something goes wrong. Do you fuck them in front of Avery? ... No wonder she is traumatized, you sick German fuck!", looking at him in utter disgrace.
"Your own clan keeps secrets from you because your so damn incompetent. You can't even trade boons with kindred without blackmailing them and you were denied a harpy position for being so shit at a simple job. Then telling my ass about lack of etiquette, eat a dick with extra sauerkraut. You dare talk to me about etiquette you little twat. Asking us who killed Shawna when everyone knows you were there. Your such a piece of shit. Come hunt me down you fuck. I'll keep the lights on."
While Judith approaches, Lydon doesn't seem particularly concerned, and leans in to receive the whispered words the Toreador provides for him. First, he simply shakes his head, and then pauses a moment after before ultimately shaking his head and leaning in to whisper in response to her. With that, his attention returns for Javier and he tilts his head in contemplation. "I sink, ze basics are vat Kindred forget ze most. Understand ze Traditions, greet people wis respect and care, even if you don't like zem, and adhere to ze rules of Elysium. Do not use any form of Disciplines wisin Elysium, and bring no weapons inside unless you are ze Scourge, Sheriff, or have specific permission from ze Keeper."
"As for not liking someone... If you visch to learn furser... Ze cunning neonate vould not allow zeir rivals to know zey have somesing against zeir rivals. If, for example, you vere in Miss Yoon's place, ze clever sing to do vould be to be much more discreet about your disdain for me." He expresses, glancing aside towards Judith, and then back at Javier. "Gather your allies, and plan careful politic moves against me. It vould be in zis... Lack of forewarning, zat you vould have ze best advantage against me." Finally, he turns to regard Judith again directly. "I do sink you look attractive, Miss Delsartio. I assure you of zis. I've raser always had a fondness for ze more... Matured vomen, frankly. Zis aside, if you are teaching hand-to-hand, or field navigation... Wilderness survival. Zis vould be useful. I vould look forward to learning zis from you, and vould pay fairly."
It isn't until Nisha begins to explode that the German Tremere turns back to appraise her and he smirks amusedly. "Vat vould you know of ze business inside ze Chantry, Miss Yoon? I vould not imagine you vould...." <English>
+LOSE/+BURN> Nisha burns 1 Blood. Judith's brown eyes and placid expression are visible just past Lydon's right shoulder. She answers Javier quietly because she's right next to the Tremere's ear and to speak any louder would just be boorish. "All my students do well eventually, Mister Cruz, and I am very good with my hands. Truly delicious to see you this evening." She slides a look over to Javier's clan-mate next, look still angled over Lydon's very well-tailored right shoulder. "And Miss Yoon, it's been too long. May none of us ever. /Ever/. Underestimate you and yours." She seems to have .... completely overlooked the unmannered explosion from Nisha. But now her eyes lock onto the Gangrel, with some hint of deep and quiet authority. She is now going to miss absolutely nothing of what transpires. And now she steps back. Not from any timidity, because such is simply not in her nature. Whatever Lydon just replied to her does not currently register because now there's something else going on.
In the wake of the discussions, the tall Gangrel doesn't seem phased. Slowly slipping out of his chair he stretches out even while Nisha is replying to Lydon and then while the Warlock replies. Nodding to Judith in response to her words he looks to his clanmate and then nods. "Well. I think we all had a great and exciting evening. I'll leave the room to the pair of you." Motioning between Lydon and Judith, he looks to Nisha and puts one hand out, speaking softly to soothe her before motioning to the exit. He's slow and careful, the Gangrel aware of how to best deal with others like himself as he gently touches his clan-mates shoulder to gently guide her to the exit. "Enjoy the rest of your evening."
Alejandro has arrived.
There is a feral animalistic rumbling that comes from Nisha, provoked to the edge. Foam begins to bubble up from the Gangrels mouth, that she chomps back and swallows. The protean claws starting to grow from her fingers, but she does her best to keep them sheathed. Fighting back her beast, as her body spontaneously twitches occasionally. Slurping up some drool, Nisha's eyes dilate as she takes a deep breath. Hearing Javier and his words, as she focuses her entire will and focus on the exit. Stumbling in that direction and swallowing her rage as best she could, even while physically seething. +LOSE/+BURN> Alejandro burns 1 Blood. +LOSE/+BURN> Nisha burns 1 Willpower.
"Of course. Sank you for your company, Mister Cruz. I look forward to speaking wis you again in ze future." Lydon provides for Javier with a polite incline of his head, and then his icy gaze trails after Nisha as well as they move to depart, hand drawing out of his pocket to wave at the pair of Gangrel. As they move to leave, his focus turns towards Judith in contemplation, noting her response to the situation. "I hope zat I have sufficiently answered your question, Miss Delsartio?" <English>
Judith was recently within arms' reach of Lydon but has just stepped a few paces back. If anyone's paying attention, she may have just finished calculating the distance between herself and the protecting wall of a side bar in the room. But ... her expression's equal parts placid and observing otherwise. Combat instincts. Or more than one bar brawl in her history. Her mouth curves to sharply deliver two words to the entire room, and her voice carries to the far corners with some habit of command. "Temper. /Tradition/." Then she adds to Javier, quiet and sharp, "Good move. Good time to go." And to Lydon's last, "Yeah. I'll unpack that later."
Thanks to the particular field of study the Sheriff has engaged in, he is both perceptive enough, and aware enough, to spot a Gangrel on the verge of Rothshreik, even having merely observed the room for a moment. With a commanding tone he yells "Miss Yoon!" For those particularly Aware of such things there is a flicker of power in the room, lightning fast, almost imperceptibly so. "Frenzying at Elysium, you do understand that Deputy Whitlocke would be held responsible for this?" The rebuke is sharp, to the point, but no angrier than it needs to be. "What in heaven's name is this about?"
There is the slightest of nods back to Lydon and Judith as the Gangrel rests his hand a little more fully on Nisha's shoulder. Making sure she doesn't have an opening to turn back toward the Warlock, Javier works to gently escort her out. Nodding to the Sheriff if they pass he leads his clan mate out into the night. Nisha has left. Javier has left.
When Alejandro arrives, Lydon Vogel politely inclines his head for the Sheriff, watching after the departing Gangrel. "Vell, zat vas... Eventful." He observes, and glances back towards Judith, drawing a hand from his pocket and gesturing. "Vould you be terribly offended if I asked for you to explain ze events to ze Sheriff? I vould not visch to seem terribly biased in ze explanation." He provides. <English>
Judith has quietly angled around and away from where she's been recently been standing behind the Magister. Her eyes are entirely on Alejandro now. Measuring. Gauging. Possibly she's learning something even as he speaks to Nisha's retreating form. She also mouthes the word quietly to herself: Rothshreik. And now she pats her pockets. No lenses tonight, she's forgotten. Her expression now communicates: Well, fuck. But that's angled at the side bar, not at anyone present. Lydon's request snaps her head up, direct eye contact. She's measuring the Magister. "Not terribly, no," is all she replies.
Any emotion on the Sheriff's face evaporates as he turns to Judith, he profers her a very friendly nod of the head "Miss Delsarto, if you wouldn't mind. Though I begin to suspect I know the vague shape of it, I would very much like the fine details filled in. Please, be at ease."
With the two arranged, Lydon quiets to consider the answer that Judith might provide for Alejandro, his hand returning to his pocket as he awaits and listens otherwise. Judith's brown eyes angle very strategically first to Alejandro's shirt collar. Then to his eyes. "I would be a fool to ever be at ease, Sheriff, but I will provide what information I've witnessed." She steps away from that bar, very clearly schooling her features. "But first I would like it to be understood that I respect all authority in here, and I am pleased to follow proper orders without being coerced to do so." Her tone is in no way light. It is also in no way challenging.
Alejandro nods "There is no need for the reprimand, Miss Delsarto. Coersion requires extraordinary circumstances on my part. A life must be at risk or something equally dire, and we seem to be passed any risk of bodily harm to anyone involved. Your personal autonomy is, absent any such extragent factors, guaranteed."
"Zere is no reason to coerce you into such sings, Miss Delsarto. However if you are uncomfortable or unsettled for any reason, I vould encourage you to raser instead provide your explanation to Keeper Campbell as zis sort of offense vould fall under her dominion." Lydon assures towards Judith coldly, sweeping an icy glance for Alejandro. "I sink vee can both agree, zen, zat if zere is to be any investigation about ze event, zat it vould be best handled by her. However, on ze oserhand... I sink zis relatively minor occurance is somesing vee can also agree is not worth wasting ze Keeper's time wis." He decides. "I vas not hurt or terribly intimidated by Miss Yoon's behavior, and am villing to drop ze subject altogether, if Miss Yoon and by proxy, Deputy Whitlock is also villing to drop ze subject." <English>
Judith elects to sit on a barstool, hooking one bootheel on the lower circular rung. It's the nearest barstool to Alejandro, for whatever that's worth. And unless otherwise noted, she will in no way consult Lydon by look or hesitation as she delivers information to the Sheriff. "I haven't been here long," she caveats. "I heard from Lydon that Miss Yoon is possibly interested in necromancy. Which ... I have also heard from others. Though the wood chipper was a striking new detail. I'm afraid I distracted Lydon from his conversation by a question or two of my own which do not signify." As she speaks, she'll watch Alejandro's expression without seeming to correct any course she's taken. " Miss Yoon made accusations ... rather loudly in return. Accusing the Magister of incompetence with some rather salty language I haven't heard since my days in the Army." Impossible to tell whether she's impressed with Nisha's vocabulary of rage. "And she flatly invited the Magister to hunt her down if he so chose." Brief search of her memory, a glance aside for the mnemonics. "Lydon is more socially adept than the Gangrel, obviously. I cannot speak to any goading that happened before, but I respectfully submit that Mister Cruz was instrumental in defusing the situation." Her look returns to Alejandro and there's no guile presently obvious. "That is when your own presence seems to have finally defused the last of it. In my opinion, no harm was done ultimately. Only an exchange of unpleasantries."
Alejandro smiles at Judith and then nods. "Thank you Miss Delsarto, I will investigate the matter further as the others make themselves available to me." He turns to look at Lydon and the pleasantness is gone, replaced with a frigid coldness that rivals Lydon's own. "Mister Vogel, given your history of inciting people to frenzy at Court, if I am given reason to think that you attempted to do so again, with a Kindred that a member of Clan Tremere has Fifth Tradition responsibilities towards, it will not go well for you. I promise you that, and I always keep my promises." "Miss Delsarto, it was a pleasure seeing you again," he says with a curt, but polite, nod of the head. "Lydon," he says without, and turns to leave.
"Zis is perhaps ze most accurate description zat I can assess of ze situation. Miss Delsarto, while not here long... Vas present long enough to witness ze true brevity of ze occurance." Lydon expresses, hand drawing back out from his pocket to gesture towards Judith. "Wis zis in mind, and as she's said zere vas no attempt to goad or provoke Miss Yoon..." He adds, turning to appraise Alejandro. "No harm vas done. I see no reason for Miss Delsarto to seek Keeper Campbelll out and repeat ze description of ze events." Though with Alejandro's response, the German Tremere trails his cold gaze after the Sheriff, and then turns for Judith. "Perhaps I vas mistaken. If you vould, please, provide your description of ze event to Keeper Campbell." <English> Judith's regard flicks briefly between Alejandro and Lydon now, but only briefly. Then her look angles aside. It's both polite and evasive as the two Tremere hash something out. And since no one's asked her a direct question initially, she keeps her silence. One of the staff brings her a very nicely cut crystal tumbler of just ice cubes. Then she does look back at the two and offers simply, "I will not interrfere with interclan matters, particularly yours. And while I do have some business with Keeper Campbell that directly pertains to my own future in this room, I will take nothing up with her formally without ... " She considers her words. "Either a direct order from the Sheriff, or some sort of unranked consensus between you two." Alejandro has left.
